Nov 18th Morning Coffee

Apparently because its below 32 degrees, my home internet connection is slow as molasses.

Marquette beat Chicago State last night.

What those highlights don't show you were the 129 fouls called by the refs last night. I'll let Rosiak say it best, from his game story, "Overall, the game was tough on the eyes thanks in large part to a crew of officials that apparently believed it was being paid by the whistle. There were 56 fouls called - 28 in each half - and 68 total free-throws shot." In a meaningless game like that, there is no reason whatsoever for the officials to control the game. None. Besides that, Wesley Matthews continues to stand out at as the solid scorer for Marquette. Right now they have no go-to 3 point shooter. #3 for Chicago State, David Holston, is barely 5'2' and was a Stephen Curry type of shooter. Everything he tossed up, went in. Marquette couldn't stop him. It's UWM vs. MU on Saturday night. Our own Todd Welter has an audio recap of the game.

The Spread Offense is soooooo 2006. Welcome to the A-11 Offense.

Can you do the Will Blackmon kip up?

RattlerRadio's first comment in the Daily Drink was solid.

Wisconsin State Journal does a feature story on MU commit, Jeronne Maymon.

The World Wide Leader is now going to have the BCS. No more over-the-air broadcast of bowl games.

Noonan!

Much better Charissa, much better.

Bart agrees with me on the NL MVP. Of course in 2006, a month after leading the Cardinals to the World Series crown, Pujols carped when Howard -- whose Phillies missed the playoffs -- captured the coveted award. "I see it this way: Someone who doesn't take his team to the playoffs doesn't deserve to win the MVP." Wonder if he still feels that way.

Give it up for the World of Isaac for having Rosie Perez explain overtime rules to Mr. McNabb.

Just disturbing. (h/t deadspin)

Railbird Central has this weeks Silver Lining.

John Jagler brings the Family Guy funny.

Your morning hotness, Miami Dolphins cheerleaders.

Random Music Video: Radiohead

The guy who's playing my living room on Friday once played the Jenny Jones show.

And Craig Kilborn.

Hmmm, maybe you need to jiggle the little connector that plugs into the telephone wall jack.......

Or better yet, DUMP YOUR DIAL-UP and get a high-speed connection. Now that you're going tohave a child, they will need cable TV in their room, so go for it. Tell the missus I said you had to do this.

By the way, you're also going to need cable to watch the BCS in the future.

Dilemma, what to watch tonight.  Milwaukee Bucks vs Denver Nuggets, or Wisconsin vs SIU-Edwardsville.

I'd go Bucks vs. Nuggets. SIU-Edwardsville? I'll take Bucks vs. George Karl any day.

True, but the Bucks also play tomorrow night, where there is no conflict.   Remember when MTV wasn't completely worthless, and would show music related programming like 120 Minutes?  Seems like a long time ago.

You get to work from home???  Cry me some oceans, Dan!

And that (uncited) quote, is why players doesn't get to vote.

Quit putting words in peoples mouths.  Bart doesn't agree with you.  You think it should be Howard (with flawed reasoning).  In his post he doesn't say who he thinks it should be.

The right guy won.  You hate him as a person.  Fine.  Get over it.

They're running a program called 120 Minutes on VH-1 classic....it's not reruns of the original show....but it's a lot of the music that they played.

You're welcome to start work from home at 4 am and then come to the office at 8am and them stay til 5pm, then go home and do more work from home until all the games are over. Be my guest.

FYI - the link from Home Run Derby on Pujols has his quote. It was also mentioned in the article I linked yesterday and ESPN referred to in their interview with him yesterday.

Check the comment "winks" left on his own blog.. Yes he does.

Winks says that if Howard isn't on the Phillies, they still make the playoffs.  So by your argument, shouldn't that take the Valuable out of your case for Howard for MVP?

So Pujols talks like an idiot.  He's also the best player in the league.

Hey it's Winks/Bart/TheBuckyChannel here. Personally, I think guys like Sabathia and Manny were more valuable to their teams this season, even if they only played half the year.

But if it came down to Howard vs. Pujols, Howard should have ran away with it.

Oh, what am I saying? GIVE IT TO BRAUN!!!
