Gridiron Girl on 620 WTMJ with the Big Unit

Hey guys! My name is Brigid Mullen and I am going to be your new Gridiron Girl. I used to write for SI on Campus… but then I graduated, ha. So when Sports Bubbler wanted to bring me on board I was really excited to get back into it. I have to say that I may not be your average sports writer. Why?

1) I actually play sports right now; Women’s professional football to be exact. Didn’t know it existed? Well consider your self informed…

2) I have never been one to follow proper journalistic rules so to speak. Which basically means that I have no problems telling you exactly what I think about a team, athlete, or coach, I love to tailgate and party with the players, and I don’t mind asking the ‘way too personal’ questions that others might steer away from.

3) If you want to know something, chances are I’ll find out for you. When the locker room is packed I do what I have to and get in as many questions as possible. Let’s be honest, if you were an athlete, who would you rather take questions from, a 50 year old man, or me?

So I hope that you guys are ready for the upcoming months! I’ll be keeping you informed on the Badgers, and Packers this football season, not to mention the Jets so you can keep tabs on Favre!  Up next will be basketball season with Marquette, the Bucks, and the Badgers including some serious super-fan contests you won’t believe.  And when spring roles around get ready for some baseball, golf, and women’s pro football…yay!

It’s going to be one hell of a year!
