And then there's Chris Chelios... And he's going to be practicing with a team this week... A team Admirals fans know all too well...
I'll give you a clue, Chelios is in for a "howling" good time if he ever plays in Milwaukee.
That's right ladies and gentlemen. The 127 year old defenseman and proprietor of Chelly's Chili is reporting to the CHICAGO WOLVES next week for practice. Although he hasn't signed an AHL contract yet, the Detroit Free Press reports that Chelios is excited to sign with a team because he feels he can contribute to an NHL club, and has ruled out playing overseas or with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL (citing he knows he doesn't fit into Detroit's plans and feels it's best to move on).
The bright side is that if Chelios does sign with the Chicago Wolves, I can ask him in person for those coupons to Chelly's, that'll save me a trip to the mailbox every afternoon.
