Kenosha Bradford is this week's Big Hit Team of the Week - The Red Devils of Kenosha Bradford are this week's Big Hit Team of the Week after getting out to a 5-0 start. So what has David Puddy's Red Devils riding high in Southeastern Wisconsin? Gino DeBartolo. The multi talented junior is getting it done in the air and on the ground for Bradford, and unless teams find a way to keep him in check, look for the Devils to be the underdog with a legit shot at tripping to Madtown to finish the season.
Black River Falls is this week's Team on the Rise - The Tigers have had more than a few close battles, but have come up on top each and every time. The key for the cats is a fearless offensive line and one of the most elusive backs in the state in Jake Perner. Five games into the season Perner has already eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark. Heading into this week he has racked up 1,031 yards (206 avg) to go with 13 touchdowns. THey face a tough opponent this week, but if the line can clear some space for Perner, there's no stopping these Tigers.
Here are the biggest matchups throughout the state for this week's edition of Friday Night Lights - Last week I was 7-2 with my pigskin prognosticating after going 4-4 the previous wek, so now I am standing at 18-8. Top games look a little easier to call this week, but there are a lot of them so I will pick 12 games this week.
~ Games of the Week ~ Big Schools ~
#3 Marquette (5-0) vs Sussex Hamilton (4-1) ~ With the season ending loss to Cameron Cerroni, the Chargers will be limited and the Hilltoppers will keep them grounded. MUHS is simply too tough.
#6 Waunakee (5-0) @ Reedsburg (4-1) ~ This is the 2nd big week in a row for the Warriors and the Beavers do pose a serious threat, but with a balanced offensive attack, the Warriors will prevail.
#8 Waukesha West (5-0) @ Memorial (4-1) ~ Bill Young always has the Crusaders prepared no matter who the opponent, but this is the Wolverines' year, look for West to remain undefeated.
Here is where the rest of the biggest and best from the Large Division (enrollment 744 and up) schools are playing
1. Homestead (5-0) @ Nicolet (1-4) Sat
2. Stevens Point (5-0) vs Wausau West (2-3)
3. Marquette (5-0) vs Sussex Hamilton (4-1)
4. Appleton North (5-0) @ Fond du Lac (3-2)
5. Bay Port (5-0) @ Green Bay West (1-4)
6. Waunakee (5-0) @ Reedsburg (4-1)

8. Waukesha West (5-0) @ Memorial (4-1)
9. Middleton (4-1) vs La Follette (2-3)
10. Kenosha Bradford (5-0) @ Muskego (0-5)
~ Games of the Week ~ Medium Schools ~
#2 Lancaster (5-0) @ River Valley (5-0) ~ The Blackhawks are flying high with Nick Yents' aerial attack, but Trevor Landon simply cannot be stopped, Flying Arrows fly higher and into the end zone more often.
#3 Fond du Lac Springs (5-0) vs Winnebego Lutheran (5-0) sat ~ Week after week the Ledgers face tough opponents and this week is no different. The difference is, Taylor Rhode may be a bit too much, look for the Vikings to pull this one out.
#8 Kewaunee (5-0) vs Mishicot (4-1) ~ Two tribes. Indians vs Indians. Difference? One tribe has a chief named Doug Delebreau. That tribe wins. (Kewaunee)
#10 Black River Falls (5-0) @ Arcadia (5-0) ~ The Tigers face a tough opponent in the Raiders this week, but if the line can clear some space for Jake Perner, there's no stopping the Tigers.
Here is where the rest of the biggest and best from the Medium Division (enrollment 284-743) schools are playing
1. Kewaskum (5-0) @ Trivers (3-2)

3. Fond du Lac Springs (5-0) vs Winnebego Lutheran (5-0) (sat)

10. Black River Falls (5-0) @ Arcadia (5-0)
~ Games of the Week ~ Small Schools ~
#2 Stratford (5-0) vs Marathon (5-0) ~ The Red Raiders feature a high powered offense with Nick Volhard and Mack Jenz, that averages over 43 points per game, and that will provide Stratford with their biggest test of the year. If the Tigers' Alex Kitchner can hit his targets down field, the Tigers will come out on top. This one is a toss up, I give it to the Tigers.
#3 Gilman (5-0) @ Thorp (5-0) ~ The Pirates will raid the Cardinals nest and retrun home to Gilman with their record in tact.
#4 Potosi (5-0) @ River Ridge (4-1) ~ Timberwolves and Weston Nemitz vs The Chieftans Taylor Udelhofen. I can't say Udelhofen three times fast, neither can the T-Wolves, Chieftans stay undefeated.
#7 Darlington (4-1) @ Mineral Point (4-1) ~ The pointers will do everything they can to flush Alex Erickson and the Redbirds out of the brush, but Darlington will survive the assault and return to Darlington flying high.
#8 Regis (4-1) @ Osseo-Fairchild (4-1) ~ My dog is named Regis, my 5th grade teacher was named Fairchild. Sorry Chieftans, got to give this one to the Ramblers.
