Sabathia, Brewers Live Up To Billing *UPDATED* Post-game CC

It was the most energized crowd I've ever seen in Milwaukee this evening on "CC Sabathia Day", and the fans were treated to a nice 7-3 win over the Rockies.  Ryan Braun gave the club the lead for good in the first inning with a massive missile that almost hit the Metavante Club, and Sabathia held up his end of the bargain.  CC gave up only two earned runs in six innings, working around a handful of walks that were probably induced by the amazing energy inside Miller Park.  The "Sabathia Era", however short it might end up being, starts with a win for the big man.  His immediate impact was felt both on the field and in the stands, where 15,000 seats were sold since the trade was turned to create the sixteenth sellout of the season at Miller Park.  The fans were so excited that they had given three standing ovations before the first pitch was even thrown, including two for ceremonial first pitches and one for Sabathia.  It was crazy.  I talked to Sabathia about the game and the atmosphere during our post-game show.  You can hear that timely piece of tape HERE.

Brewers' GM Doug Melvin told me a great story tonight about what happened to him right after he finalized the Sabathia trade.  You can hear why he suddenly panicked by clicking HERE.

There was alot to talk about in our Tuesday Night In-Game Chat this evening.  You can see how it turned out HERE.
