I had the treat of recently of spending the day with the winner of our Bank Mutual Junior Broadcaster Contest, Olivia. I love this contest and just wish one had existed when I was a kid, although I've ended up turning my life into days like these for 162 games per year. She and her dad, Kyle, were ideal guests and I was very happy to see such nice folks win a contest like this one.
Olivia and her dad hung out with me as I did my pregame interview with Seth McClung and came upstairs to the press box for the beginning of the game. We called a half-inning of the game together, she was well fed, and ultimately sent off for a shopping spree in the Miller Park Fan Zone. Olivia knew all about baseball and even plays it herself. Her brother Nathan is her favorite player, which I thought was perfect. Her favorite Brewer is Ryan Braun, whose jersey she wore to the game.
