Some amusing Packer related stories

I couldn't help but post this pair of amusing Packer-related links I stumbled across:

  • Apparently Green Bay is known for offering more than brats and burgers in the culinary world. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has cited Lambeau Field as being one of the most vegetarian-friendly stadiums in the NFL. Of course, they'd probably be repulsed by the fact that I use sausage links to represent Internet links.
  • And then there's the story of a Carolina Panthers beat reporter who left Sunday's game to head into a good ol' Wisconsin blizzard. His tale ranges from white knuckle driving to delayed flights to Amtrak trains to airline passengers who are big enough to occupy two seats. Here's an excerpt:
    • I made it to the airport the next morning, stopping to fill up the rental car along the way. As I stood by the pump a 30-mph wind whipped in my face and the cold cut through my bones and I felt like screaming to the guy at the pump next to me, "Why do you live here?"

You gotta love Wisconsin.

About This Blog

This is the place for those of you who can't get enough Green Bay Packers news! Updates will be provided frequently from the view of a "railbird." We go to the practices and scan the local media so you don't have to.

Milwaukee Magazine says, "Insightful and newsy, Brian Carriveau’s work could be mistaken for beat reporting instead of blogging. His coverage of the team’s practices is virtually unprecedented."
