Jennings agrees to new contract

I'm back from vacation in Jamaica, and I'm trying to get caught up on all the Packers mini-camp news since I've been gone.

The biggest news to hit is that wide receiver Greg Jennings has agreed to a contract extension with the Packers that will make him one of the highest paid wide receivers in the NFL. However, no contract has been signed yet.

That can only be labeled as good news. Jennings deserves the contract as he has improved every year since entering the NFL.

Probably the secondary story line is that Collins has been in attendance at mandatory mini-camp, but no extension appears to in the works as of yet. In fact, Collins hasn't ruled out the possibility of holding out of training camp.

That's it for the moment. I'm going to try to catch up on some odds and ends after getting back from vacation. I hope to have a post on the Collins situation later today.

And a big thanks goes out to Dan Haddinger for stepping in while I've been gone and keeping everyone up to date with our Packers Daily Links. Thanks, Dan!

Stay tuned tomorrow for another episode of Cheesehead Nation tomorrow evening as we recap the events from mini-camp. It will likely be the last episode until training camp begins, so don't miss it.

Bedard thought Collins looked quite lost yestarday. If he's looking lost during training camp he's going to have a lot of media outlets saying, "I told you so." It's only one practice but you would have to think it's not a good sign in terms of getting a new contract and his standing with the fans.
