• Friday August 1st blue chips and cow chips at Packers training camp

  Among the blue chip performers at today's morning session at Packers training camp: Defensive tackle Daniel Muir batted down a pass by quarterback Matt Flynn during a team 11-on-11 portion of practice. As the defensive tackle position seemingly gets thinner by the minute, it's imperative that Muir steps up to become a force on the defensive line. After seeing spot duty during his rookie season, he's sure of becoming part of the regular rotation along the defensive line in his sophomore year. • Harrell hits yet another setback for Packers

  Justin Harrell has what seems like a career's worth of setbacks in his barely over one season of service with the Green Bay Packers. It's possible Harrell could miss even more playing time this season after yet another setback just a couple weeks ago. "Justin Harrell isn't jumping to conclusions, but he acknowledged this morning that it's possible he'll need more surgery after suffering a setback with his injured back," reports Tom Pelissero of the Green Bay Press-Gazette .
