Havner doing double-duty would be a great way to open up a spot on the roster for whatever position is of need. LBs and WRs have been mentioned and make sense. Since I have running backs on the brain this week, could they keep 4 tailbacks if they are afraid of not being able to bring one back on the practice squad? I guess that would depend on how useful they would be on Specials.

With the switch to a 3-4, they'll definitely be keeping more linebackers than in the past, but 11 of them sounds kind of steep. Ten sounds more realistic. That's enough for an entire two deep depth chart plus two more.

If they're going to trade Jones, it had better happen quickly. Football teams don't typically trade players in-season like baseball does. They want them in for training camp to learn the schemes. They break that rule once in a while, but not often.
