on a non-Bucks note, good luck to my Alma Mater...
Go Jefferson High School Football, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT MAROON AND WHITE
The Antlers-
Brandon Jennings - That near Triple-Double had visions of Oscar dancing in our heads
Hakim Warrick - A double-double to go along with his promotion on Tuesday, I love it
Charlie Bell - Thanks for stepping up Flint-Stone, Defense from the 2 is always a welcome sight
The Broken Hooves -
Jodie Meeks - You are the only active player on the team without a point this season
Kurt Thomas - Ol' Dirty lost his starting spot, now he can enjoy the end of the bench
Luke Ridnour - You aren't really doing anything to make Skiles regret his choice to start the rook
Give Him Some Love - Carlos "Dig In" Delfino. That's what the man has done so far. He digs in at his position. He creates problems on defense and has been a good member of the supporting cast while Warrick, Bogut, and Jennings have run the show. He has shown some abilities in passing as well. As the season goes on, it will become apparent that the trade to get "Dig In" Delfino was fantastic.
This Round is On Me - This Saturday is @ MN T-Wolves, While the state of MN does make some fine Brews, I suggest something much more swillish, because you're going to need to drink a lot to forget how sad it is losing Ramon. Drink the golden gutter wine known as GBP, Grain Belt Premium. Not the states finest work, but not a BMC (Bud/Miller/Coors) product either. For a bit more upscale let me suggest St. Paul's Extra Pale, a great beer for the fall.
Not in this House - Allen Iverson, you are a shell of you former self. Your numbers are still good, but you aren't The Answer, you are a problem, in fact that's what we could call you now, The Problem. You are not the solution for the Grizzlies. You should have rode off overseas and played ball there, made a lot more money, been an ambassador for the game, people would have thought you were just fine and dandy. It's been just a handful of games, some of which you weren't active for, and you've already started complaining. His own coach wont even talk about him anymore. Your role on this team is supposed to be that of a veteran leader. Now lead, or get out of the way of the rest of this talented young team.
Drive and Dish- Dear Milwaukee Bucks, NBA Basketball games are 48 minutes long, not 24, not 30, not even 32. They are an entire 48 minutes. Please, do the fans a favor and play 48 minutes of basketball. And one more thing. I never ever want to see Ilyasova take the last shot of a game ever again. That was a Busch league shot on his part, and Skiles wont forget it any time soon.
What to Watch For - I can't wait to see if Bogut builds on his Double Double from Tuesday. Now that the Boomer has got some fire in his belly and two bad games out of his system, I hope he can reach down deep and play with some fire. MN has two good, yet-undersized-
bigs. Kevin Love is a glass hog but is out recovering from hand surgery. In his place is the super-skinny-7-footer
Oleksiy Pecherov, who looks oddly similar to
Stewie. Al Jefferson is an offensive threat. I think Bogut can use his size to get the best of these two jumbo-shrimps.
Prediction - Our Bucks look to take one with a healthy Bogut pushing the undersized bigs around down low. As well, this is probably the game where Jennings comes back down to Earth. Hakim and Bogut power this game home for a win in the Target Center. Coming Home on Saturday night, Our Bucks will defeat the Knicks when Skiles applies the D, and the D'Antoni system crumbles like both of the coaches careers with the Phoenix Suns.
Quick Trivia - Who is the all time leader for Our Bucks for run overs, with 300 more than second place?
Make a guess and I'll tell you if you're right.
