Welcome to the first edition of The Daily Drink's Friday Six Pack!
It's a recap of the Top 6 (or so) stories from the past week. But first off - last nights season finale of "Lost" - Simply Awesome. Plus, Kate looked pretty good.

Now, on to the top 6.....
#6 Lesbians kicked out of Safeco Field. hmmmmmm why was I not surprised that this was the second most clicked on story in the drink this week? Although it's not the top story of the week.....
#5 - Michael Redd to Cleveland The local Cleveland newspaper is actively campaigning for the Cavs to acquire Michael Redd from the Bucks.
#4 - Office Wipeout The scream is hilarious and the boss telling everyone to get back to work, Classic.
#3 - Scripps National Spelling Bee

With Erin Andrews as the sideline reporter, the boys don't stand a cahnce. See, I can't even spell right looking at that picture.
#2 - Major League Baseball trademarks names. Really? Giants, Cardinals are trademarked names? So you prevent a Little League from using those names. Shame on you MLB. #1 - Twins. Twins and relatives that happen to be smokin' hot cheerleaders. Enjoy.
It's Friday! Have a great weekend!

A pretty forgettable Brewers game yesterday. Jorge Campillo kept the Brewers batters off balance all day long. He had a nice mix of off-speed stuff with some cutters, sliders, curve balls and a high 80's fastball. Russell Branyan was the only one to have any type of success, he launched a monster home run in the 5th inning into right field. McClung was a far different pitcher then the one we saw in Washington, lasting only 4 2/3 innings and giving up 6 runs. He's not the answer to the Brewers pitching woes. One Daily Drink reader referred to him as " a dirt farmer with no business being in the major leagues". I wouldn't go that far, but it's really time for Doug Melvin to make a trade for another starting pitcher. McClung is not the answer. Relief Pitcher Tim Dillard got his first major league hit yesterday. Overall, the crew won the series and now take on the Astros this weekend. It's Ryan Braun Bobblehead on Sunday. See you kids at the park on Sunday.
Jim Powell takes a look at the Braves series and has some interesting comments on Wendy Selig-Prieb, bound to start an interesting conversation. Make sure to give it a read and leave a comment. Corey Hart's day mirrored the season. Our Brewers prospect of the week, Omar Aguilar, was promoted to AA Huntsville. Brewers Nation has a interview with Hunstville's Brian Pollack. Julian Tavarez apparently left his World Series Ring in Boston. My favorite Brewers Minor League player, Brad Nelson has a Q & A on the Nashville Sounds website. Cubs fans - Will you ever learn? Last night was the season finale of "Lost". I promised to not give any spoilers, like who's in the coffin, who dies, etc. in case some of you missed it. In the meantime, ESPN the rag examines if Lost members were a baseball team. Thanks to Daily Drink reader Great Scott for sending over this video. It's Mariah Carey proving that her pitching arm is as good as her music.
Great Scott also sends over this link to a man with a very unfortunate name. Create your own Brett Favre Locker! Oh, it's actually going down to Mississippi. KGB had knee surgery. Rumors and Rants does "I Love the 80's" NBA style. So if a restaurant owner in Milwaukee had painted their bathroom like the Marquette Locker room, would Tom Crean have stayed? Lesbians are not welcome at Safeco Field in Seattle. It's worth it for the picture associated. If your Sunday plans aren't finalized yet, do so now. Head out to the Milwaukee Mile and see some of Indy car's finest race. Danica Patrick, Indy 500 winner Scott Dixon, Helio something or other who was on Dancing With The Stars and danced with this hottie Did I mention Beloits' own Danica Patrick will be there? Daily Drink readers appear to like the graphs, so here's another one The Mrs. and I are hitting RiverSplash tonight to see a Who cover band - Substitute at 5:30. So we expect to hear this tonight.
Make sure you bookmark this page, I'll have the first edition of the Friday 6 pack posted later today.

Thanks to a larger than normal strike zone, fans were treated to a pitchers' duel at Miller Park last night. Jeff Suppan and Jo Jo Reyes kept the game moving right along by mowing down batters all night. The Brewers were only able to muster three hits all night, but made the most of it on one in the bottom of the 8th. After JJ Hardy walked and was sacrificed over to second, Rickie Weeks came through with another clutch hit, this time a triple down the left field line with two outs. JJ scored on the hit and it was all the Brewers needed. Torres came in and finished off the Braves in 1-2-3 fashion in the the top of the 9th. The Brewers defense deserves some credit as Ryan Braun, Bill Hall, Prince Fielder and JJ Hardy all made some fantastic plays last night. The Crew go for the sweep today at 12:05pm. It's the Irishman, Seth McClung vs. Jorge Campillo. Ned Yost notched his 400th victory as a manager last night, third highest in Brewers history next to Tom Trebelhorn and Phil Garner. After 6 years I guess you'd expect your manager to get to 400 wins, but it'd be better if he had reached it last year or earlier this year. Trenni from FSN talked to Rickie after the game. Torres is doing a fine job as the fill-in closer. Yikes! Derrick Turnbow's line last night for Nashville - 1.2 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 6 BB, 1 K. Sports Illustrated has a Q & A with Mike Cameron. Could two Hebrew Hammers win the MVP? Oy Vey! (h/t Deadspin) Replay in baseball? Not sure if I like this idea, but the Wall Street Journal points out, if the umps continue to get it wrong, we may not have a choice. (h/t Dad) Someone agrees with me that you can't blame the Brewers poor record on the strength of schedule. Omar Aguilar was our SportsBubbler.com Prospect of the Week. Here's video of him warming up.
Also check out video of Brewers prospects Jeremy Jeffress and Zack Braddock. I know I posted a link to it yesterday, but I feel a need to post to it again. Major League Baseball sent a cease & desist letter to a shirt maker of a Little League in Tinley Park Illinois. Why? The Little League was using MLB team names like, Giants, Cubs, White Sox. All the uniforms had on them were the names - no logos - but the C & D letter noted that not only the logos but the team names were trademarked. Really? MLB has trademarked the name Cardinals? Twins? Giants? Marlins? All those words are trademarked by MLB? Are you kidding me? Does the NFL know you trademarked the Giants & Cardinals? MLB has enough problems of their own to worry about, like steroids, yet they find the time to go after a Little League for using team names. Major League Baseball should be ashamed of themselves. The Onion is simply on fire this week - Bulls blow Lottery win on more Lottery draft picks. - God wastes miracle on outfield catch. -ESPN Magazine Editor - Look at all the pretty pictures. Badger Day is coming to Green Bay on June 3rd. NBA to Spurs - Sorry. The Bob Boozer Jinx has complete coverage of the Michael Redd to Cleveland campaign, which I have seen nothing about in the Journal. The Madison Mallards are doing more baseball, less ads. The Indy Star looks at how Danica Patrick is treated compared to others. Top Ten Announcers in Sports Movies. I think you'll recognize #1. Today is the start of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The girls will have a distinct advantage over the boys. Why? Erin Andrews. She's going to be the "sideline reporter" for the event. No way will the boys be able to concentrate on spelling words if she's in the room. We need to have a cheese rolling contest here in Wisconsin. People, get back to work making sales calls, there is nothing to see here! I assume most of you can relate to this graph. The fantastic Ganrls Barkley is coming to Summerfest opening night. Here's their latest video - Going On

Scapegoat Billy Hall came through big time last night in the 9th for the Brewers. Leading up to that point it was all Tim Hudson, Dave Bush and JJ Hardy. Dave Bush pitched pretty well only giving up two runs over 7 innings. He has a habit of hitting the wall in the 5th or 6th, so it was fantastic to see him go 7 strong innings for a change. Julian Tavarez looked fine in his Brewers debut and Torres appears to be Ned's choice of a closer until Gagne gets off the DL. The Brewers bats couldn't much going against Tim Hudson until in the 7th when JJ Hardy brought in Russell Branyan with an RBI single. In the 8th JJ did it again, bringing home Prince to tie the game up. Then in the 9th it was all Bill Hall, he had been criticized up and and down the Internet yesterday for his complaints about being platooned. Many, including me, pointed out that he was hitting .158 against right handers and belonged in a platoon. Most ill will towards him went out the window, at least for one night, in the bottom of the 9th inning. He hit a bloop single to right, Rickie Weeks bunted him over to second, then on a 3-0 count Bill Hall stole 3rd. Braves pitcher Jeff Bennett completely forgot about Hall at second so he stole third with ease. Mike Cameron then hit a fly ball just deep enough for Hall to tag up from third. Game over. Brewers win. Let's hope this gets the Crew on a roll. They're facing a team that has a worse road record then the Brewers. The Braves are 6-17 on the road. Bill Hall will be back in the line-up tonight as the Brewers face left hander, Jo-Jo Reyes. Check out a preview of tonight and tomorrow's pitching match ups in our series preview. You can watch some of last nights highlights here. Jim Powell held his 5th inning chat last night, you can check out his answers in the archive here. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution called it The Roadhouse Blues. Although this guy thinks the Braves are on the road to greatness. Braves OF Matt Diaz is heading to the DL after colliding with the left field wall in the 6th inning. Brewers Nation still doesn't care for Bill Hall. Right Field Bleachers examines the pitching dearth. Mr. Irrelevant ran into an interesting looking Brewers fan in DC. MLB has no use for Little Leagues using MLB team names. Pathetic MLB, pathetic. The other big news in the state yesterday was Jeronne Maymon's announcement that he will go to Marquette to play basketball. SportsBubbler.com was at the press conference yesterday (only Milwaukee media to be there), you can watch it here. I like this photo, the Capital Times took a photo of our camera as we recorded the press conference. Here's the Capital Times story, Wisconsin State Journal story and Mark Miller's Wishoops.net story. His dad may be a tad over the top at times, but it's good to see him active in his sons' life. I'm not sure he'll run the sidelines in the Bradley Center like he said he would. Todd Rosiak had a chance to see Jeronne play last night in Milwaukee. 24 points and 17 rebounds I would say leaves a good first impression. After talking to SportsBubbler.com yesterday, Jeronne called into 620 WTMJ, listen to the podcast. The Llama is happy with Buzz. Badger Centric gives his take on Maymon. Give this Bears fan some points for creativity. The Greatest. Post. Ever. Has been updated, check out even more twins. BadgerCentric also takes a look at where some of the football seniors might end up being drafted. Can you smell a NBA conspiracy after last nights non-call between the Spurs and Lakers? The Bob Boozer Jinx can. Decide for yourself
(h/t awful announcing) Something near and dear to the Daily Drink..... Old Media Needs to Get Over it's Control Issues. (h/t to Post-It Note Paul for sending that link over) A golf club you can pee in. Another Double knockout.
(h/t AOL Fanhouse) Bayshore Bombers lost in softball last night 18-14. I hit my first home run on the season (it was not a single with a three base error as some are claiming) The difference came from one thing, walks. We walked twice. The opponent Share Aeros? They walked 13+ times (I lost track). They only had 6 hits the entire game. Their first base coach encouraged his team to "don't swing, take a walk" and the ump, knowing the team wasn't swinging, had a strike zone that was incredibly small. Several players never even took the bat off their shoulder. Why even bother playing the game that way? It's a co-ed recreational league. I'm there to swing the bat and have fun. There is no fun in standing there while the other team doesn't swing the bat. What makes it even worse, there are 4 teams in the league and Athea Sluggers another team in this league, does the exact same thing. So we only play 3 teams and two of them don't swing the bat. What's the joy in that? So if anyone knows of a summer softball league that hasn't started yet, send me an e-mail, we're ready to dump out of this league. I once had respect for Daily Drink reader "Monster Dunk", that is until last night, when he sends me this link. I can 't go for that, oh no.

The Brewers were able to salvage a series split with the Nationals, but the Crew needed 11 innings to squeeze out the win yesterday. Gabe Kapler bailed out the team with an RBI single to bring home Prince in the 11th. Torres went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 11th to get the save. Russell Branyan had a horrible game going 0-5 with 4 strike outs. In the 8th, Mike Cameron did a nice job of creating a run on his own. After walking, he stole second, went to the 3rd on a sacrifice, then home on a sacrifice. The run doesn't score with out him stealing second. Another bright spot over the weekend was relief pitcher Tim Dillard. After being called up on Friday, he's pitched in 3 games, 3 innings, 0 hits, 0 runs with 1K. The kid looks like he belongs here. Carlos Villanueva also looked pretty strong out of the bullpen. After Sunday's underwhelming performance from Manny Parra, you wonder how much longer they'll keep giving him a shot in the rotation. Lastly, Ned finally moved the Jason Kendall from batting 9th to 8th. That's the best tinkering of the lineup Ned's ever done. Watch the FSN interview with Gabe Kapler here. In a surprise to nobody, Bill Hall is not happy being in a platoon with Russell Branyan. Sorry Billy, but if you'd been hitting better then a pathetic .158 against right handers ,you wouldn't be in this situation. Plus, you made two errors in the 9th inning the other night and you wonder why you're being benched? So please go sit on the bench and STFU. Really? Julian Tavarez? We can't do any better than that? Brewers Nation has a nice interview with Brewers Catching prospect Jonathan Lucroy. Jim Powell had a couple nice reports from DC over the weekend. Is Gagne the worst Brewers free agent signing? Nope. Former Brewer Geremi Gonzalez died after being struck by lightening. Jim Powell will be answering your questions tonight during the 5th inning of the game. WI Basketball Player of the Year, Jeronne Maymon just announced he's coming to Marquette. The Stanley Cup finals have a distinct UW Flavor. The Packers believe in Tory Humphrey. Railbird Central examines the new look offensive line. The Bucky Channel wonders when Ryan Grant is going to sign. The Bob Boozer Jinx gets inside the head of Bulls GM John Paxson. He also has a nice recap of other NBA related items such as Joakim Noah's pot bust. Scott Dixon won the Indy 500 on Sunday. He predicted it here, earlier this month. We did a feature on Bucks assistant coach Joe Wolf last Friday. Our feature, Case of the Mondays, was done with a nice touch yesterday. Today's Must Read. Greatest. Post. Ever. Right Here. More on newspapers vs. Blogs. Rumors and Rants looks at the College baseball seedings. Hold that trophy high!! Ooops. Kobe Bryant has a new real (fake) video out of him jumping over a pool of snakes. He's hanging out with the guys from Jackass. He dunks at about the 1 minute mark.
(h/t Big Brother Dennis) Or was it real? Man falls off bike. Bike stays upright. Man gets back on bike. Cool.
(h/t Duece of Davenport) Weezer's new video is out. Pork N Beans. It features numerous people who became popular because of stupid things they did on the internet. Sadly, Chad Vader is not in the video.
