Listen to Uecker's call of Braun's home run and the final out of the game, right here. Take that link and e-mail it to all your friends. His calls still are giving me chills.
October baseball. October baseball is back again in Milwaukee. On September 1, we thought it would be a cake walk to the playoffs. Just play .500 ball and we'll coast in. Then the perfect storm of everything going wrong happened. Yet somehow, someway, at the seasons lowest point, the team found a way to bounce back and give this city something to celebrate. They say baseball is a marathon not sprint and that rang true for the Brewers season and for the final weekend. They played a great game on Friday night to take a one game lead in the wild card only to give the lead right back on Saturday. Sunday had an electric crowd at the ballpark, but didn't have much to cheer about on the offensive side of the ball until the 7th. Even then it was hard to cheer as they continued to struggle with the bases loaded. But in the 8th all of that was forgotten when Ryan Braun did it again. The kid is a stud. It was a fantastic site seeing the Brewers bullpen going nuts on Braun's home run. The Big Irishman, Seth McClung was going nuts bouncing up and down. He was jumping with the whole city on that one.
The demons of Jose Hernandez, Raul Cassanova, Bill Pulsipher have been exorcised.

Besides yesterday, what was your favorite moment from this past season? My vote, is the 4 game sweep of the Cards in July. Those home runs by Braun and Hall were incredible.
Here's a nice view from the stands as the Mets made the final out.
Thanks to Daily Drink reader klwillis45 for hanging out over a beer on Friday night at the game. Who's going Saturday? Who's got an extra ticket?
