SportsBubbler.com/Daily Drink Birthday

We "soft launched" this lovely site December 3, 2007. Welcome to day 366. It was supposed to be something like this, but we thought we could make it bigger and better. So here's a recap of some of the things we've done this past year. We'll have plenty more in year two.

Easily our biggest story to date, that we were the first to report on -
Packers Bikini Girls.

The first ever Daily Drink. We've come a long, long, long way. Others might say we haven't come very far. The second wasn't much better.

We've had plenty of fun with video
here.

This picture got us in trouble with the bosses. So did these pictures.

I'd argue we have some of the best amateur writers covering WI sports. (in no particular order) Our Bloggers: Bernie's Crew, Buckingham U. Blogger, The Junkball Blues, Bob Boozer Jinx, Admirals Short Shifts, Between The Green Pillars, Railbird Central. Not to mention Jim Powell and our Packers Radio Network blogs.

Our Weekly Columnists: Case of the Monday's, Cliff's Notes, Hump Day Thoughts, Pickled Sports, Sports and the City, Thank God It's Friday, Zuch's Ramblings, China Diaries.

We added some
really good Brewers coverage to our site.

I interviewed Terry Porter and it went all down hill after the first question.

I interviewed Will Leitch from Deadspin.

We've done our Bob the Barber Feature, Episode 1 or Episode Two. (we need some new questions people!)

We hosted the Miss Beer Cart competition.

Little Jimmy interviewed the Bucks 40th Anniversary team.

We added a babe to our site.

We've done some great interviews with our Jockey presents Wisconsin's Own.

We tried to get Scott Skiles to laugh and failed.

My favorite moment: I had a columnist for the newspaper tell me "oh, you're the guy who writes the Daily Dip" Uh, thanks.

So far so good in year one, year two should be even better. Thanks for reading and allowing me to work a dream job!

HAPPY B-DAY STAFF of SPORTS BUBBLER, I HAVE ENJOYED your site ever since I moved back to Milwaukee, it has been a daily read for me.  Good Luck on the upcoming year!

Happy B-Day!

It seems like only yesterday that Charlie & Jeff gave you the boot from the 50,000 watt powerhouse......

Seriously though, you guys have put together a great site and I know there's so much more that you want to do and will do. As the dead tree media continues to wither and die, you will become the go to destination for all things sports (and scantily clad women).

Congrats, Dan!

It's a wonder you gave birth to this behemoth, but don't have the stretch marks. That's got to be a good omen.

I was just about to start working on Winks Thinks until I realized it apparently wasn't a weekly column on the sports bubbler, according to this.

Have I been fired!?!?!?!

Yes, Bart. Until you move out of your parents' basement, you can't write for us anymore. Myself and Mr. & Mrs. Winks feel it is in your best interest to spend less time on-line and more time looking for a real job. Being a short-order cook at Hooters ain't gonna get you anywhere.

With that said, I look forward to your column tomorrow.

I also apologize to BrewTownBeat for neglecting their Monday Moring Hangover column.

I love reading the Morning Coffee and Afternoon Delight.

Dec. 3 is my birthday as well.  It's an honor to celebrate it with the Daily Drink!
