Without further ado, I present to you the "SportsBubbler.com Fan of the Week"

Username: MateoInMex

Real name: Mateo

Favorite WI Team? Milwaukee Brewers

Most hated team? The Chicago Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox, the L.A. Lakers (I know it's NBA) but I am not a Kobe Bryant fan, nor am I down with the Lakers and the flags people hang on their antennas.

Overrated WI team: The Wisconsin Badgers Basketball Team

Underappreciated WI team: I would say Buzz Williams' MU team this year. As soon as Dominic James went down, they were written off.  They managed to fend off Utah State by a point, and James made an admirable appearance when most thought he was done for the year.

Favorite SportsBubbler poster/commenter? Crichar, RadioSilence, Lake County and Zack Attack, StallisTim, and I can't forget Lawrence Dobbins of North Freedom, WI.  Of course there are many more and some who read this might find their name left off. Please don't be offended...my memory sucks...so just picture your name amongst the rest up there...Woah! Woah! Not so fast Freeway.

Least favorite SB poster/commenter: This is a toss-up between some A-Hole named TexasPackerBacker (from the JSOnline board 5 years ago, and some really bad Cardinals poster.  She shows up every year when the Brewers/Cardinal series arrives, refers to the board as Sewer fans and responds to a specific poster as "Ya'll."  Ya'll? It's just me here. TPB could never get through a sports related post without mentioning the phrase "liberal scumbag".  The guy is a dope, and frankly I'm glad he's not around.

Favorite Radio or TV Announcer? Vin Scully & Matt Vasgersian.  I also have a soft spot for Davey Nelson, regardless of his on-camera persona.  I also like Bob Brainerd...but talk about a fall from grace.

Most annoying TV Radio announcer? Daron Sutton and to a degree Bill Schroeder.  Looking at Bill Schroeder, I don't know if I really like him, or can't stand him. I'll never forget a Brewer comeback two years ago, when he told the viewing audience to "buckle up their chin straps, 'cuz it's gonna be a wild ride!" Since when are Brewer fans a bunch of 1940's Barnstormers? Who the hell wears a chinstrap sitting on the couch, unless you're Warren from Something About Mary? For some reason, I picture Freeway on his couch with a pair of old aviator goggles and the WW2 aviator scarf...and at the exact same moment Bill Schroeder uttered that unforgettable phrase...1 person in the state new exactly what he was talking about...the rest just kept on believing he's a dumba$$.  I miss Bill Schroeder's cooking show though, but he always looked drunk on that program...that's probably why he lost it.

Off-topic – Favorite Band/Artist: Los Originales de San Juan (I finally was able to see them live after trying hard for almost 10 years..and in Wisconsin of all places) Most probably haven't heard of them so....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxyK61dKOcI

Why SportsBubbler? Well, I adjusted myself to the Sportsbubbler switch after the board was no longer going to be on JSOnline. Plus I like posting with people I'll probably never meet in real life.

Favorite Wisconsin Sports Moment? Listening to the canning of Ned Yost. Actually, running the bases at Miller Park with my son. That was sweet! But seriously, the day Ned Yost was fired ranks right up there...somewhere between the day I turned 21, the birth of my kids, and the 1 year extension of Yovani Gallardo

What player did you idolize growing up? I'm not sure..to be honest, when I was younger, I didn't watch much baseball...I was too busy chasing skirts! I know who it's not though...it's definitely not Eddie Murray...that guy is by far the biggest *** in pro baseball.

What’s the man behind username look like? I can't find the picture I had running the bases, I would have used that one...I also have a few headshots layin' around here...but I've been told I looked like a gay Zorro. So instead, please enjoy a nice picture of Vegas that I took when my cousin and I took after we became private pilots.

Congrats and enjoy the T-shirt!

How is UW basketball overrated in comparison with Marquette (who had so much hoopla and finished 2-6 when it counted the most)?  I am not trying to start a war here but I think you can only have one or the other there.

Mentea = TPB...Your definately entitled to your opinion, as I am mine...so don't worry, you'll probably never make SBFOTW.

U Dub Dub- I respectfully disagree.  The question asks who do I think is the MOST UNDERAPPRECIATED TEAM in WI:  IMO, most of the undeappreciation comes from Badger fans.

I think if you were to compare both programs, look at the conference each team plays in...BIG TEN vs. BIG EAST, add the fact that Buzz Williams was a first year coach, their playmaker went down late in the season, UW's Bo Ryan has had a lot more time to build that program, I came to the conclusion that it's Marquette Basketball.

When it comes to the most OVERRATED WI TEAM, I went with the opposite.  If Bo Ryan isn't able to pluck more talented players from a bigger talent pool, would you think they're overrated comparing them to a smaller school that went farther against much more difficult competition?

Look who MU played down the stretch.  4 of their last 6 games were against top 10 ranked teams, and they were in every one of those games.

I'll tell you how much I like Mateo: He rips UW like a Wal-Mart pair of jeans but I can't get worked up about it. Dude is just solid.

Hey, M: Are you really a pilot? Now THAT is cool!

Mateo,

I see your points but we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

Buzz Williams may be a first year coach but Marquette was a top-15 team loaded with senior talent coming into this season... and that was with their first year coach.  They were expected to win some of those games against the top talent in the BE and came up short every time.  I don't like the excuses of "who they had to play" because if you want any credibility, you have to beat SOMEBODY at some point.  I believe Wisconsin was matched up with #5 seed FSU, coming off an ACC championship game appearance and win over the national champion-favored Tar Heels.  As Badgers fan know all too well from this season... playing tough and losing close games still count as a loss at the end of the day.

I see your point as well U Dub Dub.  We will have to disagree, and hey, I might be headed to UW in 2010.

Crichar, yes I really am.  I a few hours short of my Multi-Commercial but returned to school and with work, I'm really busy. I'd like to knock it out in the Summer though.  I'm lucky that I'm acquaintances with a doctor who's been flying for 20 years and has a BeechBaron Turbo.  I don't pay to fly with him, and every so often he'll call me up and we'll take off somewhere...which allows me to build up multi-engine time.  I don't want to be an airline pilot, but I'm a huge advocate of general aviation. I just can't  afford my own plane. Flying is always fun and challenging, I encourage everyone to try it out!
