Username: Radio Silence and author of The Junkball Blues.
Real name: Nicholas Zettel
Favorite WI Team? Milwaukee Brewers
Most hated team? Pittsburgh Pirates --- I've never really liked those guys, probably from the days when we were both bad teams and they had this tendency to beat the crap out of the Brew Crew. I also dislike Cincinnati and Houston, as well as the Cubs, but not as much as other teams (like the Pirates).
Overrated WI team: Green Bay Packers (somebody had to say it)
Under appreciated WI team: Probably UWM basketball. Go MU!
Favorite SportsBubbler poster/commenter? This is a tough one, because I like the big time core that has come from the JS to the SB. My favorites are probably the regulars from the game threads, and I personally get along best with Einstein (great guy), Jim Breen, Mateo, Crichar, and Stix. My favorite partners for analytical debate are Brewhawk, Badger, and Wisblue, among others.
I really don't like that question, though, because I generally like everyone on the board, and it's tough to remember screen handles off the top of the 'ol melon.
Oh, and The Truth is a fantastic partner in crime / arch nemesis.
Least favorite SB poster/commenter: Trolls (Cubs and non-Cubs alike).
Favorite Radio or TV Announcer? Jim Powell for sure. I actually haven't re-upped MLB radio yet, I'm currently in mourning. Powell brought poetry as well as a straightforward style to the game. I also really like Orel Hershiser on the national level.
Most annoying TV Radio announcer? Dick Vitale, and it's not close. And Tommy Lasorda. He's not an announcer, but if he was...
Off-topic - Favorite Band/Artist: Right now, Darker My Love, the Byrds, Dandy Warhols, and I'm on a huge sleater-kinney kick. Patiently awaiting the next Tegan and Sara record, as well as the new Green Day, which is first available online for preview this week.
Why SportsBubbler? A fantastic fan network! Autonomy from established sports journalism. I like the freedom and anarchy that fan analysis provides. There's a certain edge when you're debating guys that don't get paid for what they are passionate for.
Favorite Wisconsin Sports Moment? Ben Sheets 18 K, which was the first game for which I ever kept score.
What player did you idolize growing up? Greg Vaughn. I liked him so much that I would regularly negotiate with my mom to stay up a little bit later if he was batting during the next inning. One time I called a home run -- "Can't I just go to bed after I see Vaughny hit a homer?" Bam! Home run. Bedtime.
What does Radio Silence look like? This is a picture of me recently, out and about around Belmont. I am carrying a Reckless Records bag, which is my standard urban talisman.
