Thanks to Justin Malaise for sending over this story. He followed Redd Foxx's instructions and submitted a story on Bucks draft pick Brandon Jennings. Well done Justin.
As I mentioned in yesterday's Afternoon Delight, it appears trouble is ahead for the Wave and XSL. "Trouble" as in "might be folding up shop" kind of trouble.
This person deserves a beatdown, epic in nature.

So, whatta think of my photoshop skills? Lame?

It was a game that was already penciled in as an L. A 30-year old journeyman pitcher vs. a 2-time Cy Young winner. We all knew how this one would pan out. In the first everything went according to plan. Burns walked the leadoff hitter and two batters later gave up a homer to David Wright, 2-0 Mets. Game over, right? The best pitcher in baseball didn't need more than a two-run lead, right? Well a funny thing happened at the ball park.
The Brewers bats stayed hot and they took advantage of mistakes made by the Mets. After sneaking across a run in the 3rd, the flood gates opened in the 4th. Santana walked Mike Burns on 4 straight pitches and the Brewers made him pay. Corey Hart then hit a fly to deep center in which Mets CF Fernando Martinez stumbled at the last second, giving the Brewers 2nd & 3rd with one out. After a walk to Hardy, Ryan Braun decided to imitate Jason Kendall. Braun sat on a 0-2 change up from Santana and drove it over Sheffields head clearing the bases. As he watched the throw to home get away from the catcher, he headed towards 3rd. Santana's throw to 3rd went into left field and Braun jogged in.
5-2 Brewers.
Game over.
Now today's the exact opposite. Gallardo is on the mound and the Brewers are expected to win this one. Let's see if it holds true. Mets are planning to rest Wright and Sheffield too. The sweep is sitting there for the Crew, will they take it? Oh, and look at that. Despite a awful June, when the Brewers went, 12-15 they are still in first place.

Two Positives
1. Fielder with a monster HR in the 7th. He crushed that pitch from Santana.
2. Braun 3-4 with 4 RBI's.
Honorable Mention to Corey Hart, 3-for-5 in the leadoff spot.
Two Negatives
1. McGehee: 0-4
2. Mike Cameron - 0-3, should have been 0-4, not sure how the ump didn't call strike three on his BB. They were right down the plate.
Daily Drink Player of the Game: Mike Burns. 6.2 IP, 5 H's, 2 ER never looked so good.
