While we do want you to say what you want and have some fun, we do have a few guidelines….

Foul language, personal attacks, accusations, sexually explicit items or any other things that we feel cross the line of good taste will not be tolerated. If we do feel that you stepped over the line we will utilize the three strikes and your out policy, but keep in mind you can always fly out the first pitch.

So – have some fun, talk about your favorite teams and let us know what you think!

And remember, if you have to ask what a Bubbler is you probably shouldn’t be following sports in Wisconsin!

Let's start off by saying thank you for making this available to Milwaukee Wave fans. I hope that this is extremely successful and helps to pass the word about the great sport of indoor soccer. I have been a Wave fan since the late 80's. It is a fast paced, exciting game. I encourage anyone and everyone to check out a Wave game, if you have not already done so. Milwaukee Wave soccer has been rooted here since 1984. Milwaukee Wave soccer has produced 4 championship teams. Come on out to a game. Ticket prices are affordable for a pro sport. Lets make this message board a huge success and lets get more support for a winning team right here in our own backyard. I am letsgowave-fan. Lets Go Wave.

This is such a neat idea to have this message board.  It is a great way to support our team both on and off the field.  I look forward to the future of this board and of course the MILWAUKEE WAVE!!!

Right on about the Wave.  The last time I went out to a game I was extremely impressed with the whole experience the team promotes.  The team has really always been good and the indoor game is suited for excitment but what really impressed me is the way in which the team makes the whole atmosphere exciting.  The anouncer keeps the crowd in the game, they play music, have give-aways, the players throw balls into the stands for the kids, and they even take a lap around the field after the game so the kids can slap hands.  Its a great product and a very festive atmosphere.  I have been going to Wave games since they played at the Auditorium and have always enjoyed the team.  I would encourage anyone to take in a game, it's really a good value and you can get the best seats in the house for like $25-$30.  Nice to see that a few people want to talk soocer.  If anyone wants to talk about Soccer besides the Wave, I'm game for that too.  I'm a big fan of the English Premier League.

    Hi Liver Bird,

I'm not a Wave fan yet, but I'm a Spurs fan and enjoy the Champions League etc.   I also follow the US squad and the internationals in general.

Try the Wave out sometime.  If you are a soccer fan, you'll have a lot of fun.  Go you Spurs.  Thats cool, I'm a Liverpool supporter obviously.  Spurs must be a hard team to follow here in the states.  I don't see many Tottenham games on tv.  Its even hard to follow the Reds and they are on quite a bit.  I too enjoy the US national team.  I'm actually excited about the younger players coming up.  I watched the u18 team play a few times and they have some really good players that we will be seeing a lot more of very soon.  Our current team is a little disappointing.  I think our national players are hurt by playing in MLS.  The level of competition is so low compared to other parts of the world.  Although it is getting better, I think our guys should be playing in Europe.  Our guys who play for European club teams are way more ready for international competition and are developing to higher levels.  The guys who play in MLS can only go so far IMO.

Liver Bird, are there many fans like you that like both indoor and outdoor? seems like too many people like one and hate the other. outdoor can get kinda slow but if you know what's going on then its not so bad. there would be a lot of nba games that would be SO boring if you didn't understand the game! Indoor is just a blast ... it is soccer but its a totally different strategy and different approach. as far as the national team, how do you think the development in this country hurts or helps? all those suburban teams, everybody plays the same and shares the ball, so you don't have any great individual scorers -- they are all labeled "ball hogs" as kids and lose interest!

Most of the people that I play soccer with like both.  In thinking about your question, it may be that if you came into soccer through the indoor game, you may not necessarilly like the outdoor game.  I think this may come from the fact that these types of people like sports with a lot of fast action that leads to fast scoring.  In this case, it really doesn't matter what the sport is, it could be hockey, arena football or soccer.  Its just a fast high scoring game.  I think its a huge misconception to think that the outdoor game is slow.  Its actually extremely fast and highly skilled when played properly.  The outdoor game is 90 non-stop minutes on a field larger than a football field, no timeouts and the ball almost never stops.  The players are highly conditioned, fast and coordinated.  People who love outdoor soccer I think appreciate the fact that it is usually low scoring because they know how much effort and skill it requires to score.  Every goal is so precious and important because it is so difficult.  Thats true drama IMO.

Soccer is really taking hold in this country because of the youth movement.  kids are growing up in the sport now and it is really helping develop more professional calibar players.  The US finally has a youth develpoment program down in Florida where the best of the best go and live soccer through their teenage years.  This is something that did not exist when I was a kid and I think it will really serve our intrests well in our quest to be taken seriously on the world stage.  I think its great that you are seeing kids sharing the ball and playing as a team.  One player cannot do it all.  I know thats cliche but in soccer its so true.  The best players in the world share the ball because they know thats the best way to score.  Watch Ronaldhino, Ronaldo, Gerrard, Rooney, they all are great individual players who use those skills within the framework of team and thats why you see them score such spectacular goals.  They know that if they pass the ball and then move to open space, they will receive the ball back in a great position to score.  If kids are tought that the best way to score is to pass and move they will lose that ball hog mentality really quick because they will find themselves scoring more frequently and easier.
