if the Bucks can't get Rose or Beasley, who should go 1-2, then they need to draft BIGGEST need and that is DEFENSE, so the man to get is Brooke Lopez fron Stanford, and it doesn't hurt that this kid can rebound and score also, wow! he was unstoppable against MU in the tournament.

Yeah i agree, he was doing work on MU but they really did'nt have no d. I say if we cant get rose, beasley, mayo, bayless, gordon or Deandre jordan i say we pick up Anthony Randolph! or Maybe JavellMcgee/

im pretty sure Lopez worked over every big man he went up against, including Love who at the pro level will be an average player, Lopez will be a franchise player

No Lopez will not be a franchise player, he will be very good similar to rick smits. I would rather take a chance on Nicolas batum, this kid got serious game! And as far as kevin love is conserned he is'nt a good post defender.

Rick Smits?...the Dunkin' Dutchman! wow you really reached into the archives for that one!.....Smits was too much finess but could shoot, Lopez is much more physical and will be a better defender and shot blocker, you might laugh at this, but im gonna go for the jugular on this and state that Lopez will be the next Tim Duncan(you heard it here first)......i think they have similar games with the way they can score in the post and pass, both very fundamental......go Bucks! draft Lopez!

Nothing like timmy. And he's not a physical at all bro but he do have a lil game. We dont need him we need a goodsmall foward like donte greene, nicholas batum or anthony randolph. or a point guard like rose or oj mayo. But if we do draft a big go with Deandre jordan or Javale Mcgee.

Smits was bigger than a Lopez, too. Remember that high post pick and roll Smits and mark jackson used to run, with smits at the free throw line cutting backdoor down the lane? Unstoppable.

DeAndre Jordan - He's a project big man, but worth the pick and the development. I boldly predict that the team that takes Jordan will be happier in the long run than the team that takes B. Lopez.

Would you compare Lopez with Noah? I would give Lopez the nod at being a better shooter, but give Noah his props for intangibles. Overall I think I would sooner have a Lopez over a Noah. Now would Lopez be your power forward> I believe with a front line of Bogut, Lopez and Yi matchup problems would be an issue with other teams. Bogut is really coming into his own as a defender, and I believe Lopez with his high basketball iq will be better than average.

I was high on Jordan earlier, but then I found out that he is not going to be the Al Horford of this draft. You will get the good defense from him, but I see this guy averaging 6 points for his career. He is going to be a player that teases you predraft like Michael Sweetny did a couple of years ago. I missed bad on that one, I knew Horford would be a stud though!!

Lopez has looked bad in all try outs.  He reminds me of Aaron Grey.  I would stay away from any non athletic player

definitely agree...best case scenario is that B.Lopez becomes a poor man's Andrew Bogut ,his brother will be crap. if the bucks decide to go center they should take a chance for once and grab DeAndre Jordan, however, iI think we should either draft Alexander or Westbrook. Either would bring a defensive attitude to this team that is dearly needed. just dont draft blowpez please.

This is why the Bucks are not going center in the draft. Lopez is softer than butter and falling fast and Deandre Jordan is a big project who could become Harvey Catchings someday.

    Stevereno:

This draft will be a very important one. Especially after the Harris firing. The next GM will decide where this franchise is going to go. Are we going to focus our attention on Redd which we have for so many years. Or are we going to go in  a different direction. Safe to say we have our Center and PF locked up for years to come. Bogut and Yi are our future Center and Power Forward. Since the TJ Ford trade we have tried to bandage the PG spot for a few years now. The position that the Bucks need to address is PG if they are willing to not move Redd. Which is unlikely. If we can get a stud at PG like Chris Paul in New Orleans we will be set for years to come.

Is there a stud PG in this years class? Eric Gordon from Indiana, Tywon Lawson North Carolina, Russel Westbrook UCLA to name a few. Most of the players that in Mock drafts this coming year that are projected in the first 10 picks of the 2008 draft are Freshman. Its a tossup  if they come out. We'll see this June.

Who said Bogut and Yi are our C and PF for the future!? Who said that and why do you assume that!? Bogut is the least likely to be moved but they could even trade Andrew Bogut!

Sometimes you fans say what you want rather then what they are thinking or what they want. I would move Bogut in a second to get Rose or Beasley in this draft! I would move Redd to Mayo, but wait and let Gordon fall to me.

The rest of them they can get staying at #8 perhaps. But don't assume that Yi and Bogut are 'untouchable' which is what you are implying. I know for a fact, they are not!

I think PG/SF is more important to get anyhow. I would move Mo to Miami for Udonis Haslem and then move Yi to get another first rounder and Pietrus and then draft Hibbert and trade Bogut and #8 to get the #3 and draft OJ Mayo if it was left up to me.

But l like Bogut. He can stay. But there are many options and ways to go. One thing is sure. They must upgrade that backcourt!

If they go Center which I would later on with a mid first then take Roy Hibbert. Bottom line....

I agree we need to take a defensive minded player, so taking someone like Gallarini or KLove is not feasible. I'd be fine with Alexander, Randolph, or Westbrook. (In that order)...

If Gordon is there at 8 though I admit its going to be hard to pass up on him, especially if they are determined to trade Redd.
