Brewers Win...On Weeks Hit. Any Complaints Now!?
Now a lot of fans are clamming up now and got nothing to say now. No rants tonite! Where are you all?
Gone...Good.
This is the type of resilency and perserverence that all teams on the brink of a Championship has to go through. Many of you lose sight of that.
The losing streak is gone! Great at bats in the ninth. Does that look like a team who has quit on their manager!? Does it!? Did Yost lose this tonite!? Did Doug Melvin?
Now what are you got to complain about tonite! The crowd was yoked up and Weeks came through...
Love to see it. Funny how a little encouragement helps....on a young team that is sliding.
You all must learn from this. Weeks mentioned you were loud and helpful....
NOW STAY THAT WAY!!!!
It helps...
"If you get to the playoffs, yeah, you've done your job," acting manager Dale Sveum said. "But if you lose in the playoffs, you didn't finish the job."

7/28/08- Bob Brenly: "We all know Lou likes to ride the hot hand." Disgusting.
FIGURE IT OUT
your= possessive; "your car". you're= you are; "you're an apologist". their= possessive; "their house". there= place or stage; "the bar is over there".

In all honesty, what do you think he'll do tomorrow at the plate and at the end of tomorrow, what will his his average & OBP be?
Based on your faithful committment to Weeks - you desreve your day in the sun based on Rickie's clutch hit tonight.
I warn you though, by gloating so much, you open yourself up to much ridicule - based on his overall season stats.
Enjoy the night my Brother tomorrow may be here all too soon for you!

I enjoyed the Game tonight. I also understand that it is only one game. I hope that they can show some consistancy and keep on winning and hitting, and score more then 3 runs a ball game, and that there SP's can get through the 5th and 6th innings. The Brewers have to show that first.

After the Brewers came back and beat the Cubs, everyone was gitty and going nuts. Well, this is the first win we've had since then.

Fans would not rant and rave unless they cared ... that's better than ignoring 'em! Of course, we're happy for Rickie and the Brewers tonight. Let's keep it going now. This partially makes up for some of the other opportunities in the past that have been squandered, at least. Yippee!!!

Brink of a championship or barely hanging on to 4th place? You decide?
Now if we can only get Weeks above .200...
CLOWN!!!!
Yosty (YO-stee) n. A collection of games that the Brewers have lost , where you can look at a piece or pieces of management by Ned Yost and reasonably and logically conclude (based on conventional baseball wisdom and factual information available at the time) that he should have done something differently that could, along with other factors, possibly have changed the outcome of the game.

It's no secret Freeway has moist undies for Rickie Weeks. And Bill Hall. And Mike Cameron. And Tony Gwynn Jr. And Prince Fielder. And Ray King. And Barry Bonds. And Gary Sheffield. See any patterns?

Don't forget JDLR, the next Francisco Liriano.
BTW, speaking of Weeks, he had an awesome quote in a postgame interview. After being asked about whether or not he is bothered by the fact that some fans are very upset about his performance, he was asked if after he hit the game winner and saw Prince headed for him, was he frightened to see such a large man coming towards him. To which Rickie responded, "no, I could've beat Mike Tyson in three after that hit."
Awesome quote! I really like Rickie's interview. He really has his head on straight and a strong approach, which is good. Yost described him as "persevering," and I think that's right (btw, Yost cited BABIP tonight, and said that when he evaluates Weeks, he doesn't look at AVG, but focuses more on Weeks' approach. Bigtime points for our manager there....)
BIGGER BATS HIT MORE HOME RUNS! If prior to March 1, the Player and the Club have not agreed upon the terms of the contract, then on or before 10 days after said March 1, the Club shall have the right by written notice to the Player to renew this contract for the period of one year.

Really? Because I think if Ned Yost has been focused on these guys' (not just Rickie's) approach, then the problems should be solved by now.
This team did not have a single walk tonight until two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Is this the approach that Ned is preaching?

Re: Brewers Win...On Weeks Hit. Any Complaints Now!?
For the first time I can ever remember - I actually was hoping they'd lose.
I spent six hours on a plane tonight only just checking the score and hoping they would've lost. From the recap, it seemed like another typical game until the 9th when they got lucky.
I'm happy for Rickie but sad for the team. I really believe had they lost tonight and maybe tomorrow, it would have been it for Ned.
It goes back to do you want to win the battle or the war. I'd rather have a 9 or 10 game losing streak if that's what it takes to finally rid us of Ned.

This is complete ***, and I don't believe you. No fan wants their team to lose. I just can't believe this crap, and you're not even the first person to post this type of reasoning tonight.
This is absolutely disgusting. If you want to criticize the team, fine, criticize the team, but this type of mindset is disgusting, uncritical, and pointless -- why even follow the team if you hope they lose?
I said it before and I'll say it again: if winning means Yost keeps his job, I hope Yost keeps his job every day for the next four and a half months. *** this petty *** about being right about a manager vs. supporting a team -- just disgusting.

Radio ... do you really believe that this team can win with this moron managing them. He told the JS today that he doesn't care about the criticism and what he's accomplished in six years. What has he accomplished -- one winning season in a down year for the division and blowing an 8 1/2 game lead. He has an $81 million payroll ... the Marlins have a $22 million payroll and they went 1-5 vs. these guys.
He doesn't have one starter hitting over .295 ... they've gone back to being a horrible road team and prior to this series have won 1 of their last 6 series. Since the 24-10 start last year they are 76-87 and prior to that they were never over .500. WTF has he accomplished.
I don't want to speak to tonight too much because I didn't see the game, but it sounds like Izzy imploded and the Brewers got lucky. You realize if Weeks and Braun don't get those two ninth inning hits - this team has a NINE GAME LOSING STREAK.
That is how HORRIFIC they have been playing. This teams a massive overhaul ... One win will not save the season. They are a fourth place team. Even though they won tonight, the offense didn't do much and the starter couldn't give them six. How was tonight any different other than Weeks coming through.
But why should Attanasio do anything? Another 42,000 tonight to watch a fourth place team. If 12,000 had shown up tonight, maybe the Brewers would be more serious about winning.
