I was cautiously optimistic about the Brewers recent winning streak. Don't get me wrong--I'm enjoying it--a lot. But there was always doubt in the back of my mind. Losses like last night's can be momentum killers. Now, tonight, the Brewers are on the verge of another loss. I think many of us lose sight of the fact that Yost is a career .500 manager, and that's being generous. Why are we surprised the Brewers are playing .500 ball? Under Yost, that is what they do.

Why do people even credit Yost as being a .500 manager?

His career record is FAR below .500. Calling Yost a .500 manager is an insult to .500.

    I said I was being generous. ;)

That bullpen would record a franchise record in blown saves and high ERA. Plus there isn't a closer.

Ty Cobb: "I believe I can truthfully say that I can hit equally well into either right or left field and generally at will. ... I will claim that when I am going right, I can drive four out of five fast balls within fifteen feet of where I want them to go."

Just anoher bad game by a bad road team!  Bush doesn't belong out there, someone else has got to take his place,Anyone!   Yost will not jump on anyone, but the last 2 games were very unprofessional, just like in Boston. Unless someone cracks down on this team for their lack of professionalism, results will just get worse. Tired of all the mental errors! Bad reflection on management,so what else is new? Hustle is unknown in Brewerland, sorry to say.Losing is acceptable it seems, and the fans suffer!

I beg to differ on all counts.

Fittingly, the game ends on a Bill Hal popout.

That was a miserable excuse for a baseball game. That kind of uninspired, flat play is totally inexcusable.

But I'm sure Ned will have plenty of them lined up.

It won't happen, just like Rickie Weeks won't be out of the leadoff position tomorrow. There is no way that they keep a weak bullpen like that unless they've conceded the season.

Tomorrow is the Rockie's ace, and a Rockies sweep, and I'm going to win $100.
