One thing about Baseball that really sucks

Bush pitches 8 great innings and gets nothing for it. Gagne gets three guys out and wins the game. That is one thing about baseball I think is stupid.

That's why W/L is a crappy measure of a pitcher.

why does it matter?  Baseball is a team game and everbody plays a role.

Then they should stop giving wins and losses to pitchers.  The rules of baseball are stupid in some ways, one of them is how a starting pitcher gets a win and a relief pitcher gets one.

it brings up an interesting theory that was discussed on previous posts, regarding our minor league system experimenting with relievers starting the game and starters finishing the game. That would definitely allow starters to get the majority of the wins
