NIce, solid addition. Shows that the world is full of good point guards. Glad the Bucks signed him.

There's no way lue signd that kind of deal to be the third string PG. He had a lot of teams interested this summer, this most likely means MO is as good as gone. I'd bet they package MO and either Mason or Bell with him for some kind of a solid back up for the 4 spot.

I agree with this. You can't find minutes for Mo, Sessions and Lue. It's gotta mean that the Bucks either don't believe in Sessions, or are going to get rid of Mo. Since Sessions has been getting tons of coverage for his play, you've gotta assume they're looking to ditch Mo.
Here's the latest from ESPN on Sessions:
BEST PLAYMAKER: Ramon Sessions, Bucks
He is very good at changing up the speed of play, controlling the game and taking what the defense gives him. Against the Grizzlies, he took just four shots, but handed out a game-high nine assists. He was more shot-oriented yesterday against the Pistons, scoring 21 points on 6-for-11 from the field, but still found time to give out four helpers, while reducing his turnovers from seven to two.
Since Lue can play the 1 and 2, and Bell can play the 1 and 2, you've gotta think that the Bucks are looking at a Mo/Bell trade, possibly to Miami for Haslem?

Re: tyronn lue signs with the bucks
Another reason why Mo will go to Miami, bc the heat are setting things up for the 2010 off season. But their are no big name established PG's in free agency that year. Also DW has made it clear he does not want to handle the ball this year. I'm not saying MO is good at dishing it out, but with the current FA's in the market right now he is the best fit. On the haslim part of it, I think he could be a great fit in a bucks uniform, he gives skilies a lot of options with him and CV, we could then really match up with other teams better or exploit match ups.

Re: tyronn lue signs with the bucks
People should not under-estimate Lue's value. There were other teams; teams with winning records, that had an interest in this guy. Lue with Sessions would make for a nice PG tandem. I am making the assumption that Mo will be dealt which makes sense especially if Haslem is the guy we get. Mo could really help the Heat and Haslem makes our team better. Would we have to eat some of Mo's contract ot make this trade work? Lue is a solid veteran that has a pretty good all-around game.

Re: tyronn lue signs with the bucks
I'd say if we had to eat some salary, maxium would be about 1.5 for the first 2 years, passed that their on their own. Also with the PF options, I'm not saying this is resonable but i would love to see the Bucks do a sign and trade for OKAFOR. What about CV, mo and mason for him. He takes CV spot, Mason has no point bc of alexander, and who no's what they think of mo hopefully highly. But its just a thought
Sessions
Redd
Jefferson
Okafor
Bogut
D wins championships

Re: tyronn lue signs with the bucks
yes, i read and hear all the time that these winning teams are clamoring all over Lue because he is going to put them over the top and win a championship. Only good thing about this is if they move the pos Bell

Re: tyronn lue signs with the bucks
Okafor could be a good move; nice defensive game and has a low post presence. We also need to find a backup at power forward (the Mo for Haslem trade had CV as the backup) which is way I think the Haslem for Mo trade would work better for us. That being said, I do think Okafor/Bogut would be a strong front court along with Jefferson.

Re: tyronn lue signs with the bucks
I think Lue is a decent addition as a change of pace guy- the same type TJ Ford should have been- and should still be- in the NBA. Can play a nice role, but I don't want him on the floor when we need stops. Just too small, unless we're going against a poor shooting, starting PG. Someone like TJ Ford. :)
I think it's a pretty clear signal that something will happen with Mo. You've gotta believe that Sessions is going to get a look on a team that is still building. A deal with Miami for Haslem would be nice to see. I'm not sold on Alexander being our starting PF in his rookie season. I'd rather see him in a 15-25 minute bench role as an energy-type guy. A better Nocioni, if you will.

I still think that CharlieV will start at PF, at least at the beginning of the year. Regardless of how CV's overall season went, he did manage to put up good numbers in games where he got starter's minutes. I'm willing to believe that his injuries have held him back, but that he's not necessarily injury-prone. I don't see the Bucks looking to trade him because he still has potential and doesn't have much trade value. They stole Jefferson for Yi, but they can't be counting on getting that kind of value for CV.
CV and Bogut could still be a good front line - especially if Skiles can get this team to play some defense. I believe that Alexander will be the backup PF/SF this season. If they manage to get Haslem, they'll be using Alexander sporadically until he earns his minutes. CV will also have to watch his back. Haslem would be the primary frontcourt backup with Malik Allen and Alexander coming in to give different looks.
The dream really is that Ramon Sessions has impressed enough last season, in practice, and in summer league that the Bucks believe they have one of those special 2nd round guys who are going to really surprise people. Then Mo becomes disposable and he has value.

Re: tyronn lue signs with the bucks
As nice as CV's numbers have been, I'm just not sold on him- although I'd still make that TJ trade 10 times out of 10. He hasn't shed the knock on him that he's had since college- and possibly high school. He's just too soft and doesn't seem to have a consistent drive to achieve his potential or play significant defense. I think that Skiles could be the right type of coach that could show him the light, but a lot of times, a tough coach can't change who a person truly is.
I hope I'm wrong, because it sure would be nice to have our PF solution under our own roof. But until CV starts showing he can see beyond himself, I'd continue to search for better PF solutions.

Re: tyronn lue signs with the bucks
Great points all around.
Tyronn Lue sucks. As much as i don't like Mo or Bell, I'd take either of them over Lue. That would also put a TON of pressure on Sessions and put our whole season and rebuild on the brink if he doesn't pan out.
I proposed Mo for Haslem months ago (first one I saw) and still think it could work, but the dropoff of Mo to Sessions/Lue could be too much for us, which is why I was hoping for a PG in the draft.
I really like the Okafor idea.
I think there is more trading to happen this offseason, and I think the Bucks will be in the middle, again.
