It's only a matter of time everyone will want TT fired!!!!!!
Everyone should go Chicago Tibune.com There is a picture of Brett in A CHICAGO BEARS jersey!!! Funny everyone but TT and a lot of crazy GB fans want TT to stay and the unproven injury pron A-Rod to start . Most football people inclunding the editor of Pro-Football weekly know how hard it is for a quarteback to make it in the NFL. Ask any Bears Fan. Yes maybe we can be lucky and have a new unproven QB be another Brett but the odds are against us. WAKE UP EVERYONE, GB is becoming the laughing stock of the country thanks to TT(by the way did everyone see all of his terrible draft picks) and the egos of the Packers Board. Who in there right mind does not keep Brett( voted second in MVP rankings last year) Yes they worked, on a game plan for A-Rod all off season but that's a positive because now they have two playbooks Brett's and if something happens to him, then everything is in place for A-Rod.

I agree with this much of your post. Why is GB becoming the laughingstock of the country? Could it be because of the tantrum-throwing by old Mike Sherman fans still pathetically trying to attack the best GM in pro football? When (as fans of any team but the Packers) you see a few misguided fans doing their darndest to shoot that up-and-coming football power in the foot what else is left to do but laugh? One last question, if you do succeed in running Thompson out of town and Brett eventually wheezes off into retirement, who you gonna blame then for the mess you will have created?

You are absolutely correct. Dan Pompei, Hub Arkush, John Madden are in total agreement. The entire country thinks the Packer organization should show enough class to bring Brett back as the starter and let Rodgers wait another year. With a team on the verge of going to the Super Bowl, this is a ridiculous gamble and 31 other organizations would not ignore common sense as TT is. With Favre and Rodgers, we have the best quarterbacking in the division. With Rodgers and Brohm, it is a crapshoot. Is that what the Packers are all about? Excellent point about the playbook!

Not only those guys, but a good number of GMs think TT is playing this poorly. I think Rodgers will be a good QB and if that is the way TT wants to go then just say it, don't use this 'we've moved on' garbage...does that mean we think Rodgers is our best chance or this is personal and my ego will not allow him to come back? Very poor leadership from Teddy.

Pugger:
No one said everyone. Dungy, as an active NFL coach, should probably keep his trap shut...as PFT stated "Colts coach Tony Dungy, who apparently believes that his nice-guy image grants him a license to opine on matters involving any of the other 31 competitors within his chosen industry." Of course, as an active HC with an aging HOFer himself, what do you expect him to say? Maybe that's why Favre called Minny...to get Brad's opinion on what he should do.

You enablers kill me...
you know WHY everyone wants TT fired?
So THEY can hire him to rebuild THEIR programs.
This isn't Shermy - TT's not gonna disappear from the radar screen.
Carry on...

Does anyone think that if the Packers fired TT he wouldn't be hired by someone else probably less than 1 week. The Packers aren't getting enough negative press, lets fire the GM that lead the team to a 14-4 record. They would be the laughing stocks of the league!

I don't think he should be fired by any stretch...he's done a fair job to date. Now, he's made a couple of bonehead moves in my opinion, but many good ones. I think he blinked on the Moss deal - I thought it was a very good option at that time - and he was wrong. I also think he has handled this very poorly. Funny, but had he made the call on the Moss deal he probably wouldn't even find himself in this conundrum. If you believe Tim Brown (he states he knows for a fact that Packers didn't want Favre last year) then maybe the Moss move, or lack thereof, was not TT blinking, but his way of telling Favre to go. Anyway, that was a bad decision (most would agree, I don't want to argue this) and now it has played out over a year later.

Re: It's only a matter of time everyone will want TT fired!!!!!!
If Tim Brown is right, I think that shows that the issue from the start has been Thompson's ego and his not wanting to be overshadowed by favre. That is a disastrous trait in a general manager. What a 180 degree departure from the philosophy of Bob Harlan who never let ego be an issue.

Re: It's only a matter of time everyone will want TT fired!!!!!!
TT is the best thing to happen to the Packers since Wolf traded for Favre and Reggie White. For some reason folks seem to forget the years we went 4-12 with Brett at QB. Brett Favre is not entitled to anything, if he really wants to play he'd come back and compete for the starting job. TT's job is not to appease Brett or the fans. Its his job to put the best team on the field and do what's right for the packers. Brett will not be released and give TT kudos for having the balls to stand up to Favre and let him know who is in control of the Packers.
This years draft picks haven't played a down of NFL football yet, to say they were terrible is moronic.

Is Favre better than Rodgers? If the answer is yes, then he is not doing his job.

Wow these favre lovers are great, LETS KEEP A 39 YEAR OLD CRY BABBY ON THE ROSTER WHO SUCKS IN THE COLD. TT should not be fired he has put togeather two very good additions to the QB depth chart. Tim Brown said it the best if this was anyone else in the league this would be laughable no one would touch the guy. Who wants anyone who can't make a decsion to play till late june. My last point TED GAME HIM ANOTHER CHANCE IN LATE MAY!!!!!!!!Farve took it then said no. WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT THE MAN TO DO!!!!!!!!

Re: It's only a matter of time everyone will want TT fired!!!!!!
Doesn't matter, Favre is RETIRED. That means Rodgers is the best QB for the Packers at this point. Ohhhh, its 2 weeks before training camp and Brett just wants to waltz in and be annointed started QB. Brett needs to be a man and come back and earn the job back. If he is that much better than Rodgers, it will be apparent and all is well. Brett feels he is entitled, that is clear evidence that he is still not 100 percent commited to the team. If he was, he'd come back, work hard and earn the job.
