The truth about childress took the offer in europe because he was gonna be traded to Milwauke..and who the h e l l wanna play for Milwauke??????? He said he rather suffer the loneliness in europe than to be in with tons of ball hogs and white trash fans in Milwauke. i would do the same thinkg too if i was him. Milwauke is the sh it hole in the NBA. Well this is my personal opinion. No offense to the people in sh it hole town.

They gave him the biggest contract in the history of Euro basketball, of course he took it.  The Euro gets 2:1 on the dollar and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have to pay taxes.  None of that has anything to with David Stern.  In fact, the "bigger" contract that the Hawks offered wasn't even close to as big after taxes and the exchange rate.  Who wouldn't take that?  If some Japanese team offered a decent Major Leaguer - JJ Hardy for example - the equivalent of 30 million Euros in yen, I'm sure he would take it.  It says nothing about how screwed up the sport is, just the economy.  You want to blame someone?  Blame the past five presidents.

Brendan Jennings is skipping college and going to Italy straight out of high school as well. I think you'll see a lot of mid-level players going to Europe - there's already a good number of low-level players who could be playing in the NBA for low/minimum contracts making more playing overseas. Now mid-level players will be able to make more playing overseas as well.

 I think the NBA will still be able to pay the most for top level guys for a while, though. I'm going to get worried when LeBron goes to Europe.

HA HA, I had a feeling I'd hear that from you. I just have it for fun, I'm not dumb enough to think the Cubs actually suck.  They're an excellent team but it's fun to piss people off on here :)

I think that would be a great Idea, but only ask for the international style basketballs in return, then donate them to team USA.
