    Homestand Predictions

    All right, let's do it!

Parra, Bush, and Soup going against the Stros, and then Sabathia, Sheets, Parra and Bush going against the Cubs.

I'd love to see a 5-2 homestand, but with the insanity of the usual Cubs/Crew match-ups, and the even pitching....I would take 4-3.

    But let's do 5-2.

Yeah, 2-1 versus Houston and 2-2 versus Chicago.

    Re: Homestand Predictions

5-2 would be great.  But after this roadtrip, I wont make any predictions.
"TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
    To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
    Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
    Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

Too early for predictions. I need 24 hours to enjoy this one.

Parra / Rodriguez should be a good match up, and Backe / Bush is another close one. Soup / Wolf is a tough one to figure -- oddly enough we got the 'Stros version of a top rotation.

We are facing their best pitchers, then we get Lilly / Sabathia, Zambo / Sheets, Marquis / Parra, and Harden / Bush for the Cubs/Crew series.

That's pretty much 2 even match-ups for the Cubs series, and then one other match-up in each team's favor.

    Good series coming up...

    2-5

    0-3 vs Astros

    2-2 vs Cubs

Why, because I said so. I don't have to like it.

    Radio,

Unless he's completely turned it around, Wandy Rodriguez is a mess on the road. We should beat him.

I'm going to go with 2-1 against the Stros and (hopefully) 2-2 against the Cubs. 4-3.

    Re: Homestand Predictions

I'll pass, though I should go with 2-5 like I did for the road trip. That certainly worked out well.

Regardless of what I would predict, 4-3 would be fine, as long as it includes at least 2 from the Cubs. That would keep the Crew no worse than 2 behind the Cubs and almost certainly keep them in the wild card lead. How good would that have looked on the Saturday night before the All Star break?

    That's going to be Dempster/Parra, not Marquis/Parra.

The Houston series has trap written all over it. Lets hope the 'Crew doesn't put the cart before the horse and looks ahead to the Cubs. Take care of business with Houston first. How nice would it be if the Brewers were in first place when the Cubs come to town?
