I believe if the Brewers win today they will be tied in the season series with the Cubs so far...so hopefully that is a small silver lining

    Some lineup wrinkles

    By Tom Haudricourt

I'd have to say I haven't seen this lineup configuration before this season as the Brewers try to avoid a four-game sweep at the hands of the Cubs today.

Rickie Weeks is back in, which against Rich Harden probably won't work. Craig Counsell is at third. Corey Hart, who has looked very bad of late, is out of the lineup and Gabe Kapler is in right. Jason Kendall has looked bad of late, too, but is in the lineup, which doesn't make a lot of sense in a day game after a night game.

Ryan Braun has been dropped from No. 3 to No. 5 in the lineup, with J.J. Hardy batting third.

Anyway, here is what the Brewers will send out to try to avoid an embarrassing sweep:

    2B Rickie Weeks
    3B Craig Counsell
    SS J.J. Hardy
    1B Prince Fielder
    LF Ryan Braun
    RF Gabe Kapler
    CF Mike Cameron
    C Jason Kendall
    RHP Dave Bush

    Good work, Ned.

I like that line up. Way to move Braun and Fielder around.

You do realize that Prince did not move right?  Just checking.

    Ya...

I really like our best hitter batting lower....  and putting in someone who can't hit at the 2 spot....   I sounded off more on a different post...  so I will try not to repeat myself...  but I do not understand this...  Kendall needs some days off...   Would be perfect day to start Rivera... and CC at 3B???  Over Hall or Branyan??  Okay, guess we will have to see how this game plays out....

But Ned isn't panicking, he's just tweaking. I am amazed that Weeks is in the lineup. There's 3 K's for Harden right there. Thrown in Braun, Hardy, and Cameron and that gets him up to 10. Get Fielder, Kapler, and Kendall a few times, throw in Bush (probably no more than once) and 15 is within easy reach.

do you guys have a backup catcher?   strange to play Kendall in a day game after he caught a night game and willl catch all 4 in the series.

nothing new here. Rivera only plays every week and a half or so.

Nice to see Weeks make that throw for the double play.  Good start for Bush.

    LOLOLOLOLOLO

    HAHAHAHAHAHA

U wanna know why this team has no chance of EVER making the playoffs? That's why.

Rickie Weeks must be mentally retarded. He should sit the f***ing bench for the next five f***ing games.

This one's over. Why Ned wasn't bunting with Counsell I'll never know. In case you haven't noticed, Ned, this team isn't exactly scoring runs in bunches. MOVE RUNNERS OVER.

This game is the last chance for me. If they can't pull their f***ing heads out of their a**es, baseball season is over for me. What a joke. Rickie Weeks is one of the five worst players I've ever seen.

I mean, you have to be retarded to do that. What player in his right mind would make a play like that? And thw worst thing his, his manager doesn't even give a f***.

If we needed an excuse to bench Weeks for good, we have it now. First, he can't pick up the ball of the bat and is going to get doubled off, but if he had at least hustled back he could have gotten back when the ball got away from Lee.

Plus, his relay throw on the DP was another of those sidearm flips, this one just happened to be on target.
