Holy Crap. Was that punt 75 yards in the air?

I think Colin Cole is a better player than he showed tonight.  The thin air can really get to the visiting big guys.

Glad Lumpkin's fumble was ruled down.  That guy seems to have some has heart.  He's got real competition from Herron & Morency.  One can assume the 3rd RB will play a lot this year.  They should probably carry four.

Quick quiz:  Who hasn't been posting here, so far?  And, here's a bonus question:  What will the usual suspects say?

Ok - so A.R. can dink and dunk his way down the field against a Bob Slowik defense in the preseason.  NFC Championship game here we come!Seriously - he's got to start somewhere.  But the "forget that old Favre guy, here's your QB of the few-cher - 2-3 year super bowl window" stuff will make me reflexively scoff until AR REALLY proves himself.  Perhaps his entire career will be hampered by TT's inability to find decent interior OL, true depth at DT, and a adequate nickleback.  The second two of those things go back to Sherman!

Too many people on this board took Favre for granted.  What a hoot to see Kenny Petersen and Maquard Mannual on the field.  Real top-shelf defense there in Denver.

Dude seriously STFU Brett is gone, move the fvck on, damn, Im sick of you whinny little b1tches HE IS GONE, he aint coming back get over it!

This just in from the department of redundancy department Brett is gone. No amount of pissing, moaning and reminiscing is going to bring him back. Enjoy the season or go join the Jets SuperBowl  wagon there should be room for you.

It is a game thread, right? Let it go gotham.

Say what you will about the Pack needing a preseason win, but you're playing from behind with 2 rookie backup QB's.  Unless the first team manages a ridiculous lead which isn't likely.  First team did fine against Denver and Cincy and I really don't care if we lose every preseason game.  2 rookie backups is gonna do that to you.

Lee is gonna regret missing that pick, he easily could've overtaken Bush if he made that play.

First team D is really bad at this point...not a single stop in first half, and a 99 yard drive from Den. I wish MM would have made the change on the D coord...

Like I said, this team really misses Pickett.  He is their run stopper and their run d gets noticeably worse without him.  I'm not worried about the Pack first team D just yet, sans Pickett and a bad game from Barnett and you get what we saw.  Pickett is the guy that can take up 2 Olineman and still make a play or at least allow the linebackers a better shot at making the stop. Last year Pickett played to a Pro Bowl level although his stats didn't reflect his impact on the field.  Also no KGB to help provide pressure on 3rd down passing downs really hurts.  If Pickett is back for the regular season I think we'll be fine and if KGB gets back then we're even better.   Also, I really hope that Bigby is ok.  Although the loss of Collins would hurt, I think Rouse might be even better in his spot.  If Bigby is out, then we better hope Peprah gets back from his injury soon cause hes the only guy that can replace him.

That ain't Corey's game. Corey hacks on 2-0.

I agree, but those are big ifs. Both guys were dinged last year, and not getting any younger. This team is just not deep enough to withstand the injuries and last year we were rather fortunate. The D line, corners, and Hawk/Barnett cannot afford any injuries...they are playing with a very thin margin.

Its not that I disagree Cal, but all NFL teams can have injury problems.  This team isn't any different yes, but pretty much any NFL teams success lies in an ability to stay healthy.  We can only hope the Packers players are able to stay on the field.
