sorry about the late comeback,doing a little doctoring at the VA in iron mt Mi. [nothing serious]

I have been fishing the willow flowage [reservoir] till the water dropped down 11ft. fishing is slow, but tearing up props fast. lol.

I still manage to pick up a walleye and a northern here and there. time is not a problem for us retired folks.

   going to hit the flambeau river below park falls next week, and do some catching, I grew up on that river.

just got back friday, after 3 days of fishing, me and the wife got enough to stink up the frying pan.

6 legal "eyes"  some nice crappies, and a few smallies [released]. all in all decent, weather was nippy 29 in the morning.

caught the walleyes on, red tail chubs w/ a 1/8 th once chartreuse jig.

Any ice fishing....how thick is the ice?

we got 5" to 7" on most of the reservoirs,by me. the willow and the rice [nokomis] but they are raising the water, to protect against winter kill, so the water is pushing out on the shorelines..  but once you get on your ok.   the only thing hitting is northerns, so far. but , I only been out twice.

to busy getting skunked, deer hunting      lol.

the walleyes are starting to hit at night we got our limit on the willow yesterday the 29th. some around 22 " most in the 16  to 17' range, all on shiners.

been slow the last 3-4 days, besides this 15 below at night is putting a big dent in my firewood pile    LOL
