Glad to see we're talking about Bob Sanders on here. Come on people, get your heads out of your a$$es(was that a cliche?). We're gonna get destroyed next week by the Colts b/c Sandes is our d-coordinator.
Charlie Frye threw 2 TD's on our defense,and broke off a 25 yard run! Our 4 down linemen who read before the they rush, aren't going to sniff Manning all day with that mantra! Look for the Colt's WRs to have big days and have plenty of open field in the middle(Nick Barnett anyone?). I'm not sure what the hell MM was watchin when he said he was impressed with our defenses performance yesterday. Other then Woodson, Williams, and maybe Kampman I didn't see much difference other then we were playing charlie frye and a beat up recieving corp.
While you're right RE the D looking a little less than stellar yesterday - 1 TD was off of a godawful fumble by AR - and the other was at mop up time.
Though if they hadn't flagged Wahle for that hold it might be a different ballgame after the 50 yard gallop by whatshisname.
Offense better not sleepwalk thru the 1st half next week - we're gonna need to score early and often to beat the Colts / Manning.
And while I have NO problem with quick scores - a few 7 minute drives would be just what the doctor ordered.
