Re: Alffan, How bad are the Cardinals?
M= Man looking for an argument R= Receptionist Q= Abuser
M: Ah. I'd like to have an argument, please. R: Certainly sir. Have you been here before? M: No, I haven't, this is my first time. R: I see. Well, do you want to have just one argument, or were you thinking of taking a course? M: Well, what is the cost? R: Well, It's one pound for a five minute argument, but only eight pounds for a course of ten. M: Well, I think it would be best if I perhaps started off with just the one and then see how it goes. R: Fine. Well, I'll see who's free at the moment. Pause R: Mr. DeBakey's free, but he's a little bit conciliatory. Ahh yes, Try Mr. Barnard; room 12. M: Thank you.
(Walks down the hall. Opens door.)
Q: WHAT DO YOU WANT? M: Well, I was told outside that... Q: Don't give me that, you snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings! M: What? Q: Shut your festering gob, you tit! Your type really makes me puke, you vacuous, coffee-nosed, maloderous, pervert!!! M: Look, I CAME HERE FOR AN ARGUMENT, I'm not going to just stand...!! Q: OH, oh I'm sorry, but this is abuse. M: Oh, I see, well, that explains it.

brewer_fan4ever:I dont think I ssaw him once on the game thread.....hmmm.....interesting.
The Brewers had won 3 of 4 going into the game...so he had a "meeting" to go to.
Some of us don't work nine months out of the year Einstein so we actually have to work for a living. I had a client visiting from out of town -- sorry I couldn't tell him I can't meet with you because I need to be on the board during the game.
I did show up afterward - just like today.
No matter who is in there, we have to find a way to throw the ball better for us to have success. I think when you are constantly behind in games, it is not easy and it is not fun. Their starting pitcher was clearly better than ours this series.

It's amazing how you manage to schedule all of your "meetings" for days the Brewers win. You should really schedule more "meetings".

Wow, Einey has gotten under wisblue's computer skin. This is like that time Radio got mad. Weird things happening on the Bubbler.
Einstein judges me on when I'm here and not here. That's what bothers me. I'm working at home every Sunday and watch every game that day.
They happen to be 4-9 on Sunday and have lost five in a row - but he assumes I'm there on Sunday just becasue they lost.
I had appts. Mon and Tue night this week and they happen to have won. Sorry, I can't change my schedule.
I was busy today and they lost.
I was here til the end Sat night when they rallied to win... but no no noticed that.

Again - I deal with a two hour time difference - so if I'm out at appointments - I can't necessarily get back in time for the game.
And I don't work 9-5 like most quite a few people - or get 3 months off like Einstein does.

I realize the time difference, the work schedule, etc. I don't even doubt that you do have meetings to go to. It just seems incredulous that you are always at "meetings" when things are going well, and always manage to find time to be here after a game like today's.

I was at a lunch meeting today watching them choke on my Blackberry.
Monday and Tuesday I'm usually not home by game time. Always home on Sunday and usually enjoy Saturday night games.
Day games during the week vary.
But they've been bad on Sunday, the one day I'm always watching.
I may go through the schedule. I watch about two-thirds of their games maybe and see what their record is.

This is it perfectly. When things go well, you rarely post. When things go poorly, you manage to find all kinds of time to be here. It's why, to a lot of people, you're just a bad joke.

Warboss74:Just got beat again by the Giants. Let's see you spin this now.
They're in first place ... spin that one buddy.

So 1st place is good enough for the Cardinals even though they surrendered 16 runs in the first 2 games to the lowly Giants offense, but it wasn't for the Brewers?

What's funny is he waited until the Cardinals moved into first to respond.
