BTW, it's so nice to see my beloved Brew Crew on TV. I didn't think that was legal!

Have you thought about getting MLB TV?
Baseball is a game of the long season, of relentless and gradual averaging-out. Irrelevance—since the reference point of most individual games is remote and statistical—always threatens its interest, which can be maintained not by the occasional heroics that sportswriters feed upon but by players who always care; who care, that is to say, about themselves and their art. Insofar as the clutch hitter is not a sportswriter's myth, he is a vulgarity, like a writer who writes only for money.

    That's not even a concern.

They'll be in fourth by Sunday night.

This team couldn't be any more terrible. This pitching staff is a total abomination, and the offense ain't all that great, either.

F*** them. I'm done with this worthless franchise. Maybe they'll make the playoffs again in 26 years.   (writtten by stix)

Yet another 3-consecutive scoreless streak for Soup.

Honestly, Juan Pierre is a good guy to have at a decent price, NOT what the Dodgers are paying.

    Define good?

Certainly not a career .301/.348/.372 player, right?

Can I at least say that Juan Pierre is better than Jody Gerut?

    If it pleases you.

I'm not sure that's a comparison worth making. Pierre was just lucky to work in a profession where people are superstitious and dumb enough to think he's valuable enough to play everyday.

Pierre is probably better that Gerut. At least he has more of a track record and you know what to expect.

,301 is a pretty good batting average career wise.

No matter who is in there, we have to find a way to throw the ball better for us to have success. I think when you are constantly behind in games, it is not easy and it is not fun. Their starting pitcher was clearly better than ours this series.

Does Soup have the balls now to level Lee.
