    Red/White scrimmage

Here at the Badgers' intrasquad scrimmage. About six minutes gone by so far and it's 11-3 in favor of the White team. I'll post rosters for each side in a second.

    WHITE – Coach North
    G Trevon Hughes
    G Jason Bohannon
    G Wquinton Smith
    G/F Ryan Evans
    F Keaton Nankivil
    F Mike Bruesewitz
    C J.P. Gavinski

    RED – Coach Stricker
    G Jordan Taylor
    G Brett Valentyn
    G Dan Fahey
    G/F Rob Wilson
    G/F Tim Jarmusz
    F Jon Leuer
    F/C Jared Berggren
    C Ian Markolf

Right now it's Bruesewitz, Gavinski, Smith, Evans and Bohannon for the White and Markolf, Taylor, Valentyn, Leuer and Fahey for the Red.

Markolf must not remember the Purdue game from last year. Left Keaton all alone at the top of the key and Nankivil drains a triple. 19-18 White.

It's halftime and we're all tied up at 22. Jon Leuer hit a turnaround 12-footer right before the buzzer to tie it up.

Halftime leaders: Points — Nankivil (9); Rebounds — Evans (5); Most likely to be confused for a high schooler — Fahey (+/- age 16)

Good sequence for Ryan Evans. Throws down booming dunks on back to back possessions then finds Bruesewitz on a long pass for a layup. White up 35-29.

    How did Evans look overall?

He's the one guy I've been interested to see because, from what I hear, he can bring that dose of athleticism to a team that sorely needs speed/quickness at the wing.

I didn't go to the game personally, but from what I've heard and read is that Nankivil, Rob Wilson, Jared Berggren, and Evans looked great and look like they've improved drastically.

Sounds like Bergrren looks like he could be a real scoring threat in the post.

Evans has a ton of athleticism and his game is a lot like Tucker, obviously i'm not saying he's gonna to be Alando Tucker, but he's an athletic slasher type who plays D, but's not that great of a shooter.  I'm excited to watch him this year.  Pretty good line for him in the scrimmage: 7 points, 8 rebounds,  2 assists, 2 blocks.

I know alot of fans are down on the Badgers these days, especially with the Vander Blue thing now, but I'm excited for the season to start I think they can be alot better than people expect.  There should be big years for Hughes and Bohannon, and I'm expecting break out years for Leuer and Nankivil.   Throw in alot of guys who can contribute like Jordan Taylor, Rob Wilson, Berggren, TJ, Evans.. I think it can be a pretty decent team.
