You like Ryan but you'd like to see him adjust his style.  My opinion is that he need not change his style to suit you or any other fan.  His style has worked quite well.  Not too hard to see.

I don't really give two craps what you  consider is 1/2 full- if saying that I think he gets a lifetime pass and he's my favorite Coach in Wisconsin isn't  enough positive for you- you can go kiss my objective call it the way I see it butt. Bo knows coaching- ABsoFrickingLUTEly- just would like to see him adjust his style and recruit a little harder. Big 10 improving -better athletes. Bo can't get the studs to play his system- his kids just don't mathup well against good athletic teams. The Badgers finished with 3 other teams for 4th (call it 4th or no better then 7th) and look to be slipping.

All I can say to you is head meet sand.

PS -it's a forum. It's about analysis, and critical at times on teams we care about. A rah-rah-rah forum would get pretty boring. I think another problem I have noticed as a UT (Austin) grad Is people here seem to have kind of a we're lucky to be good-pretty good. People in this state (excluding Packer fans) seem to be OK with settling. I guess 26 years of having a playoff-less Brewer team kind of gives birth to that kind of thinking- nice avatar by the way. LOL

 I think people have to get it out of there heads that Wisconsin is ever going to be a year in year out title contender.  You can complain about how we're not, but as has been pointed out Wisconsin has yet to finish below 4th in the Big Ten, that's pretty damn good.  There are many teams out there that would kill to have the program the Badgers have right now.  

I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement, because there is.  Sure, I would love to see more top recruits here, but I don't think you can say it's because of a lack of effort that Bo and his staff haven't gotten the big time recruits everyone wants.  I know they had one down year and now everyone's fired up.  And what does it say when a "down" year under Bo consists of still making the tournament and winning a game in the tourney.

I know the loss of Vander Blue has Wisonsin fan panicking about Bo, but really there was nothing else he could've done.   He found Blue and had him committed before he came nationally recognize which shows how good Bo can see talent.  Blue committed to Wisconsin, but got talked out of Wisconsin and to go to Marquette by his Memorial buddies, Maymon and Matthews.

You're so proud of yourself, aren't you?  You want to make sure you give him his props and make it well known what you said.  But you also said he can't compete for a league title.  Without substantiation.  Oh, wait....his style and his recruiting are suddenly so far of the 30-win road....oops.

Your "analysis" is not something I regard as worth the bandwidth.  But it's a forum!

And what is different about UW than your beloved UT?  You might want to dig a little deeper.  I wouldn't characterize the fan base (or myself) as "settling."  You might need to know a little about how we got here.  But I'm not the one writing us off of conference or national lists....THAT'S YOU!

My avatar has very little to do with the Brewers as you know them.   But I'm still proud to follow the Brewers closely and hope for the best.  They do not play on a level playing field with the upper-echelon of MLB.  That's cool, I get it and accept it.  I don't need a World Series title to complete my life.  But I do know if they were to pull one out against long odds....they would have worked much harder to get it than what appears to be the 2009 winner.

Seriously, anyone who bashes Bo Ryan is a complete idiot. The man made Wisconsin what they are today. He's won three conference titles and went to the tourny EVERY year. What the hell more do some of you want from the man? Don't say he doesn't give us a chance to win a Natinal Title either, because he does. In fact, he's done it every year he's been at Madison.

Some things I will just not listen to in sports, like saying anyone beisdes Gretzky is the best hockey player ever or that Jordan wasnt the best basketball player ever. Saying that Bo Ryan is a bad coach or should be let go is another argument I have zero interest in because it's just crap.

Bo is a good coach but how does one recruit the top athletic dudes when you play a boring swing offense?
