One of few WI teams who's future excites me

Even though he has had some setbacks and it's not going to happen overnight, I love the way this guy gets into recruiting. His style of play and dedication to going after top recruits will make them a top 10 team (IMHO), but it will take three more years.

By "he" I presume you mean Buzz?  I think the 3 year plan is pretty realistic.  At that point Vander Blue will be a Sophomore, and so will Caudogon because of the medical redshirt.  Add a few extra guys around them and we may really have something.

As a season ticket holder, I'll be satisfied if they show progress this year, some guts and heart, and steal a game or two they had no business winning.  My assessment is that they have some real talent, but depth is going to be the issue once again.  Seems like that's been the case for a while, but may be turning around with the recruits coming in.

What we want to avoid is bottoming out and having a real bad year, and then having some oral committment guys start to think twice and back out...

I'm really interested to watch the game on Thanksgiving against Xavier, a good, solid, fundamental b-ball team.  N.C. State will be fun at home.

Yes- good point about not bombing. I would think they play right around .500 and like you said maybe win a couple they shouldn't. As long as he keeps recruiting well they will be a top 15-20 team in the country in three years. Buz seems to have that awww shucks kind of emotional thing that I thnk sells to parents. Recruiting in this state for any sport has always been a problem. I just love the way he is going after kids from the south.

Kids from the South? I love his recruiting 'in state!' That is what has me excited! The 'Big Three' of Bucyks, Maymon, Blue,....hell yeah! I like the South kids too now, but I think you have to balance things with a Wisconsin flavor too.

Texas is big. So is other parts of the South and West Coast. But there are some good kids in the Mid-West too. Now I wish Jamil Wilson had not committed to Oregon so soon...

“My main goal is coming out here, making the playoffs, getting my teammates involved and trying to bring the winning back to Milwaukee,” Jennings said. “We have to win. I’m going to do my part and I’m going to try and make sure the team does their part.”
