O.K...chime in if you are with me on this.
I am at home right now sitting down with a cold brew watching the Bucks game. I turn the game on and they are starting the player/team intros.
First of all...they have the players and coaches walk through this flashing door that has red/green/white LED lights...to say the least, it looked pretty chinsy. But wait, not only are they making them walk through, but they have to go through a f-ing catwalk! The coaches went first and to a man, they all had looks of humiliation on their faces. lol!
Then to add insult to injury, they have common folk come down to introduce the players. "Hi, my name is John Smith, I work as a toilet cleaner at Milwaukee Public Schools, I work hard for a living and so do the Bucks here is Ersan Illyasova!!!!" They did this for every player.
Now am I the only one who felt this was totally contrived and full of sh*t? It was sad to watch...has it really come to this? The Bucks have to think of ways to try to convince people that they are working hard?!?! I am sorry, but that sort of makes me not want to watch the Bucks. It is an insult to my intelligence for them to come out and tell me that the team is going to work hard tonight.
Anyways, that was the sad part. It made me realize how sh*tty the franchise actually has become. The hilarious part came when some lady came up, introduced herself as the hardworking CEO of some company, and proceeded to introduce "Brad" Jennings. I crap you not. I rewound the DVR twice to make sure , and she said Brad. This is a franchise so pathetic that they cannot even get people to pronounce players names right!!!
Things got even funnier when McTool and Pashke the Dounghnut man stated that it was the best introduction they have seen in the history of the NBA! Holy smokes! They even commented that it must have been tough for the commoners to learn how to pronounce the names of all those players. That says it all right there. We are the point where it is an accomplishment to pronounce somebody's name right during a presentation.
What a sad world we live in right now.
