Ted has no problems paying his own talent, guys who have already proven themselves with the organization. I think people are upset because he won''t spend money on free agents. I'm a TT supporter. But even I will be calling for his head if he doesn't sure up this O-line in the offseason. No matter what it takes. Get er done!
yeah i mean 34 sacks in 2008 up from 15 in 2007 should have clued them in that there was a problem. I know AR was in his first year in 08 but that is a HUGE increase that no matter how you look at it can't be blamed on the QB.

Are you aware there is a salary structure in the NFL and that TT must spend a certain amount of money? Are you not aware that the Pack has the 2nd most room under the NFL salary cap? The apologists are really, really reaching now.

reaching for what? 10-13 since the beginning of 08. By your logic he must have been the greatest GM in Packers history when the Pack went 19-4 from Week 14 in 2006 to Week 3 in 2008.
It was just an observation.

That's a solid point. Easy to bend stats to "strengthen" your argument. . .

maybe you don't follow pro sports, but let me clue you in.....it's a business and more often than not, it's 'what have you done for me lately' mentality whether you like it or not. If you want to reach out in the past then be my guest. Plus during the timeframe you mentioned, a lot of the players were not TT's players at the time for a good portion of 2006/07.
If you want to go that route, Favre must have been a great QB when he went 17-4 from the last month in '06 through '07.

Great post scissors....not even the idiots that support TT and MM will be able to continue making excuses for him much longer, the match is lite.

Solid Players that weren't TT's: QB- Favre The most important position- Ron Wolf Starting OTs Tausch/Clifton(most important part of the OL)- NOT TT's - Ron Wofl Best Offensive Weapon- Driver was a Ron Wolf pick
Best Defensive Player-Kampman was Sherman's Best DB-Al Harris - A Sherman or Wolf pickup.

I disagree with this so badly it isn't even funny. If you're talking about both the best defensive player AND defensive back there is only one option: Charles Woodson Now, if you meant lineman, then I'd say Kampman.

Charles Woodson fell completely into THompson's hands.. No other team wanted him AT ALL.. Thompson got him on the very cheap. the Packers were the only team willing to take a chance on him..
so don't make it like Thompson went out and bidded against some one.. Thompson was SOLD WOODSON..

This isn't true. Although it is true there was not high market demand for Woodson, Tampa Bay made a push to sign him as well. The espn article link said Woodson chose the Packers over the Bucs.

Also it is interesting that 'Favre urged' the packers to sign some 'high-profile' players lol
