Al, I'll take the opinion of terror experts like Scheuer and Phares over the opinions of a law prof.

Not arguing either way. Just thought it was a bit interesting. Right now we only have speculation, once all the evidence is out there we'll get a better idea of what this should be "classified" as.

I'm more concerned about safety protocols/security/intelligence if something like this could happen, regardless if it were a planned terrorist operation or just one soldier snapping.

Since when is Fort Hood a terrorist attack?

A member of the military attacking other soldiers is not terrorism.

But a guy who communicated with Al Qaeda and may have planned the attacks through them is a terroist attack.

Now let me tell you what has been documented from Fort Hood.

-Found in Hasan's computer were multiple emails to al qaeda.

-He shouted "Allahu Akbar" before shooting people up.

-He didn't want to fight in the war because he didn't want to kill his own faith.

Hasan wanted Americans killed. How much more obvious can this be. He put his own Muslim faith before Americans.

I have no idea why some of you are afraid to call it what it is.

Read the definition up above, that is EXACTLY what Hasan did. How can this even be debatable?

Because you're simply using vague criteria that are consistent with some types of religious fanaticism, and downplaying the officer's role as a member of the military.

The fact that he is a uniformed member of the military changes everything. It might make you uncomfortable, but it does change everything.

gotta love the left wingers spin. Radio, you're an idiot.

You are really delusional in this regard.  Oh well.

    How so?

It's absurd to treat the actions of a soldier -- while in uniform -- against other soldiers -- while in unfiorm -- as anything other than a matter of the state.

Look, you're probably using a more vague definition of terrorism here, and that's too bad, because it distorts the truly gray nature of this type of activity. It is not terrorism!

The last - pathetic refuge of the liberal appeaser. In an effort to defend the undefensible - namely the milquetoast reaction from the MSM and our Apologizer in Chief. Semantics.

If said military member is a terrorist sympathizer engaged in an act of jihad while screaming "Allah Akhbar" as he caps Americans on US soil then yes - I rather broadly characterize him as a terrorist.

As do most sentient Americans without an agenda or axe to grind.

And as the MSM did previously - in the case of a Christian who murdered an abortion doctor. Neither of them were in uniform either.

    Yeah - nice take.

Kinda like that liberal a$$hole who said that while he disagrees with everything they stand for and say - he'd grudge *** Michelle Malkin, and others for general principles.

    Hilarious.

Stick to football Pat Buchanan.  Your posts in that arena have become a lot more lucid as you slowly but surely wake up to the realities of what your former "boy" TT has done to our football team.  Politics?  You remain a fringe player.

    Fringe?

Would that be fringe like coarsely marginalizing and demeaning an attractive woman who goes on a talk show to hawk a book by saying how you'd "do her" even though she's an idiot?

Funny how liberals talk the talk RE being sensitive while contending that it's their counterparts who are so mean and spiteful.

And what's Prejean done to earn such vitriol and enmity?

    Stated her opinion RE marraige.

    Horrors!

She should just shut up and disappear - and I should keep my OT opinions to myself.

You have a point SID - progressive points of view do sound better in a vacuum.

Scurry back to your cocoon. I may opine again - wouldn't want you to get the vapors.

Dude you are someone who is too smart for his own good.  This is typical liberal elitest b.s you are spewing.  Citing Camus?!?  lol.

Get a life....about .3% of the population that even knows who he is, so your argument automatically falls on deaf ears unless you are conversing with a college professor. Facts are facts...this guy ran in with a gun, shouted some Muslim tripe and gunned down innocent folks.  That is terrorism whether you like it or not.  Albert Camus might not agree, but unluckilly for you, the culture defines what something is at particular point and time, and 90% of all people agree:  This Muslim #@$# is a terrorist.

This is mental masturbation; the bottom line is this- radio is probably a die hard left of the far left communist. I would guess him to be over educated (to the point of being somewhat "institutionalized") and underpaid (and internally pissed about it). You can define the act however you want (terrorism/going "postal", etc)- the fact is people are dead and it's tragic. If there wasn't such a fear in the military over being politically incorrect this may have never happened.

By the way, she has every right to hold her views re:  marriage and express them.  Good w/ that.  Not sure how the sex tape she "stars" in and her nude photos making the rounds plays w/ you and the rest of the moral majority crowd but spare me the high-horse indignation with those that don't treat her as the "fresh as the pure driven snow" persona she has shown to be anything but.  Didn't you post elsewhere, that "talk is cheap" - yeah, it is.  Her ACTIONS garner exactly the amount of respect she deserves.

But getting back to Ike's original and only point:  yeah she comes off as Looney Tunes.
