No Joke. There is a commercial on right now about starting an Alpaca business.
Alpacainfo.com.
Those are kind of like llamas, aren't they?
There's one a few miles from where I live. I'm aazed a drunk deer hunter hasn't taken a shot at one yet. Maybe next week.
A friend of mine actually lives on and runs an alpaca farm in Sussex. They actually experienced a death in the family when someone fell off of one while taking it for a ride.
Cub fans are the most immature and annoying fans... EVER.

I wanna say that it was an alpaca that killed a person on a farm like right on the edge of Madison a few years ago.

Yikes, sorry to hear that. I really don't know much about them, I drive past the farm here and just see them standing in the field (the reason for my joke). I thought the farm was for the fur, but I guess I was wrong.

One has to wonder what is wrong with this guys life that he feels the need to go on a Brewer's message board, that he has obviously posted on, and make fun of everybody on it for no aparent reason.
My guess would be a recent major personal loss (death, divorce, job loss) and this is his way to cope.
Very well could be.
My first thought was that it was one of us screwing with everyone.
If I had to choose a crazy, I think BH made the right call on "drunken Carmichael."
Is there any other kind of Carmichael?
Yosty (YO-stee) n. A collection of games that the Brewers have lost , where you can look at a piece or pieces of management by a manager and reasonably and logically conclude (based on conventional baseball wisdom and factual information available at the time) that he should have done something differently that, along with other factors, might possibly have changed the outcome of the game.

So what you're saying is that Alpacas are a lot more selective than Llamas about whom they allow to "ride" them?

Great thread Destinos. Would've been better if you had hung around though. If you're gonna get the geeks all stirred up, you need to come back once in a while and stir some more. BTW, he does kinda sound like Truthy.

Ah, but maybe that's part of the evil genius disguise.

Did you just use genius and Truthy in the same thought?

They are used raised for fur. I don't know the details, but I think their fur grows back extremely fast.
It's amusing when we go to the farm and people refer to them as llamas. My friend gets a little testy and corrects everyone, "They're not llamas, they're Alpacas..." then she goes into a small tirade on the differences.

Boy, people around here sure do have strong feelings about Llamas and what not.
