Am I the only one that gets sick of the Al Harris Rasta Bob Marley tribute dreadlocks- who told thee fools it even looks good.

Charles Woodson is one of the classiest dressers in the NFL and I spoke to him briefly about this- he said those guys were fools. That long assssss corn roll crap looks bad - they need to get that out of the NFL. Most of the guys doing it are thugs- Al/Bigby-it can't hep your play-WTF?

Good news as far as the Wild Card race is concerned because the Pack has one fewer team to be concerned about after Carolina's loss tonight. They will lose again and I believe it will take a 10-6 record to get in. BTW anyone still think Brian Brohm over Chad Henne was a good personnel decision?

A day after reports surfaced that the Minnesota Vikings and head coach Brad Childress were close to a deal on a contract extension, that deal has reportedly been reached.

John Clayton of ESPN reports that Childress and the team have agreed to a deal that will keep the coach under contract to the team through the 2013 season.

Clayton reports that the deal is believed to be worth $4 million to $5 million a year, which will at least double the $2 million annual salary on his current deal.

Childress has a 32-25 record with the Vikings. At 8-1 this season, he's off to by far his best start as a head coach.

Childress has a great assembly of talent on that team right now that is making him look good. As we've all seen, a few pieces fall out of place and the prospect of that long old contract looms large like a big old vulture. He's tagged and bagged through 2013, which will theoretically mean he stays longer than Favre does, so it will be fun to see how that plays out.

Argue all the time with family and friends at the games/bars/homes when you watch the Pack like you do on here? Don't get me wrong, I think the arguments are real entertaining which is a large part of the reason I come here. But attending the games at the local Packer Backer Club here in St. Louis, you never hear people fighting/arguing about TT, MM, Harlan, Murphy, BLF, the O line, Special Teams, the draft - whatever. Loud sometimes but never heated like this place. It's great.

Just curious as to what the rest of you are like on game day and whether you leave a trail of blood, broken noses, cuts, gut punches and insults behind with your friends and family! I try to imagine the likes of:

I am far from a homer and in my opinion I see the Pack winning handily Sunday. The 49ers Offense is predicated on running with a very good back in Frank Gore. But even assuming he holds up physically, always a dicey proposition, the Pack has defended the run well ever since Benson went off. If GB gets ahead, they have Alex Smith winging it. Other than one game when Houston was up 3 touchdowns and Smith came in in relief, he has been God awful. (Comparing Smith with ARod on Sunday should put a smile on the faces of Pack fans). Now, the Niners D is physical and good -- especially at stopping the run. But what they can't do is rush the passer, they have just 17 sacks or 2 fewer than the Pack. With Barbre out of the lineup the OLine should at least be able to keep ARod upright against this line (2 or fewer sack). Also, and I know this should not matter, but other than the last second T.O. catch, I think the Pack has won 10 of 11 from the Niners, I think in part because they never play cold weather games (hope it is cold Sunday). Tip of the cap to Shipit who was first on this board to predict a decisive win by the Pack.

Hey Tank, or Humby, who every you are this, week, did you hear the Bill Michaels interview with Bob Harlan (link)? Asked what his biggest mistake was while running the Packers he answered "Making Mike Sherman coach and GM" claiming no one can handle both jobs in today's NFL, and that Mike proved it.

Wasn't Mike your idol?

I found this forum about 5 weeks ago. I visited 3-4 days a week to just read what people had to say. I was a quiet observer. A few people stood out quickly. Guys like RobertJ, ScottCampbell, Al Striker, HumpertHumpert, Puddyellow, and others. There are many guys who seem to be at each other's throat. It is kind of a normal thing for arguments on message boards. However, a few of the posters on this board are scarry. I have been a member for 2 days and already being called names, being accused of being other users and so on. I am not sure excacly what is and what is not acceptable here. I would like to know.

Can someoe please post the rules. Also, what are the consequences if you violate the rules?

I would believe that Mr Lieberman would know if this act is terrorism or not..

It looks like Wells may be a no go on Sunday after suffering another concussion. We have Evan Dietrich-Smith as his backup, but who would be backing up at C and G on Sunday? Barbre and Giancomini are the other lineman on the active roster. The 49ers have a very good NT in Franklin. May get interesting on Sunday.

Forgot to mention this but there were a lot of Bears fans at Sunday's game.

Just a reminder: There are LOTS of Packer fans out there who will buy your tickets if you don't want them. Go to any Packer bar and sell them to real fans.

I wish the Packers would crack down on this and find a way to cancel out those traitorous sellers and award the tickets to people on the waiting list who are good Packer fans.

Check out the Packer site if you don't know what I'm talking about. Queens tickets are going for $300 +.

We need Packer FANS not profiteers.

The Green Bay Press Gazette called the new Lambeau by that name when Brown County, Wisconsin voters narrowly passed a sales tax referendum back in 2000, enabling the Packers to finance the elegant atrium remodel. Money Favre was the primary motivator for getting it done.

Normal Packer Fans (fans of both Favre and the Packers) said at the time: Thank You Brett.

Fast forward to 2009, when, heretofore, ANY scintilla of a suggestion that Minnesota taxpayers finance ANY portion of a new Vikings stadium has been rebuffed, rejected and reviled by Minnesota legislators, be they DFLers or IR’s.

So that should have been the end of it, right lads and lasses? Not a penny of taxpayer money will be spent on a new Vikings’ stadium, right? It’s impossible, right???

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune recently reported that Minnesota House Speaker Margaret Kelliher, a democrat (DFL) candidate for governor "is proposing a "Purple Ribbon" panel be formed to discuss a new stadium for the Minnesota Vikings."

Earlier, Kelliher had shied away from advocating public financing for a Vikings’ stadium. Apparently, she is changing her mind a bit.

Indeed, the Star-Tribune said that "Kelliher's proposal, which she first suggested publicly Sunday, is the latest evidence that -- even with a series of numbing state budget problems -- the idea of possible public subsidies for a new Vikings stadium is gaining some momentum among top state officials."

Now, what has changed in the current abysmal economic climate to cause previously hardened minds to soften? Hmm . . .

Could it be that MONEY entered the picture???

As we have seen, Favre is Money on the field. Favre is Money off the field. Favre is Money in the Brown County referendum.

Will Favre be Money in the Minnesota legislature too? Bet Money on it.
