We're lucky it isn't 80%/20% Cubs/Brewers fans at Miller Park, and a Brewers fan showing of 5-10% at Wrigley should be commended.

The Cubs have a MUCH larger fan base than the Brewers. For that reason, a lot of their fans are unable to get tickets to Wrigley and go to Miller Park instead. Brewer fans don't have that problem, so fewer of them subject themselves to the decaying cesspool that is Wrigley. So there's your reason, now STFU.

I can't believe this keeps coming up, but I guess when the Brewers win 11-2 all alf can complain about is that Brewer fans aren't loyal enough. Usually it's the Cub trolls who bring this up. Maybe we should prepare a pat response to cut and paste every time it does.

Of course, the much larger fanbase, and the geographic dispersion of that fanbase, is the biggest reason. In addition to the Cubs fans who live in Chicago, there are TONS of Cubs fans who live in southeast Wisconsin and near the state line for whom it is a lot easier and less expensive to go to Miller Park than to go to Wrigley Field. For them, Cubs games at Miller Park are like Christmas. They can't wait for the schedule to come out so they can get those tickets. Many Brewer fans and ticket brokers know that, so they buy Brewer season ticket packages that include Cubs games with the idea that they can recoup a high percentage of the cost by reselling the tickets to Cubs fans who will pay top dollar for them. Brewer fans (who are in much smaller numbers) have no such incentive. They can enjoy 75 or so other games at Miller Park without subjecting themselves to the Cub hordes. So, they skip the Cubs games at Miller Park and usually aren't willing to pay the price, both in dollars and inconvenience, to go to Wrigley Field.

If there are 3,000 Brewer fans for a game at Wrigley Field, that's probably a higher percentage of the overall Brewer fanbase than 15,000 Cubs fans is of the Cubs' overall base. So, those raw numbers are not a fair measure of who has more loyal fans. It's as ridiculous as Badger fans who claim they have better basketball fans than Marquette because they draw bigger crowds for their games. They don't seem to understand that UW is a much bigger school and has much bigger student and alumni bases to draw from.

This is so right on. The Cubs vs. Brewers fanbases cannot be compared in terms of simple number of bodies. I'd even be willing to bet that if you found a portion of Wisconsin sports fans that were specifically baseball fans, even those fans would be close to 50% / 50% Cubs fans.

The Cubs are the Packers of the MLB in terms of fanbase.

I do my share of housework too. I apologize. BA are the initials for Brian Anderson, one of two TV commentators for Fox Sports North that cover the Milwaukee Brewers telecasts. I believed he was a huge upgrade over the ex-Brewer telecaster Daron Sutton, but Jessie, I'm sadly mistaken. Brian Anderson is a major jinxing a$$clown.
