Hammonds plan is to have flexibity to make a move when the time presents itself. That is how he helped build Detroit. We can sign these guys to their 40 - 50 million contracts and, sure, the lemmings will be happy, just like they were happy when we signed Gadz, Simmons, Bell (Oh no, we can't let him go to Miami!!!!!), Mo, etc etc...

Sessions is not that good, he is a mid level point guard who looks good sometimes and can get to the rim. He is not a Jason Kidd/Chris Paul/Derron Williams/Steve Nash type who makes others around him better. So why sign him to a 40 million deal when we can have someone take his place who is not much different? I am pretty sure some team is going to make a dumb offer to RS and we will not match...I am ok with that seeing that we are going to need a lot of flexibility to make trades in the future and get guys that actually will be difference makers.

No problem with para #1.

Too early to say how good Sessions will be- Comparing him to All-Stars and All-Decade type PGs isn't really fair. I don't think anyone believes that is who Sessions is- I think he can be a top 10 PG. They wont have to sign him to a $40 mill contract. If they did I would agree- let him walk.

Re: post 2009 Draft thoughts

Hammonds plan is to have flexibity to make a move when the time presents itself. That is how he helped build Detroit. We can sign these guys to their 40 - 50 million contracts and, sure, the lemmings will be happy, just like they were happy when we signed Gadz, Simmons, Bell (Oh no, we can't let him go to Miami!!!!!), Mo, etc etc...

The lay fan probably wont understand the RJ trade, but it really became somewhat of a necessity under the circumstances. He also decided to not resign CV which I don't have much of a problem with. Although CV was talented he didn't play with the kind of fire you like to see in your power forward.

The draft was a disappointment to me because it didn't bring in the kind of players I would have liked to see- players that bring toughness and hard play. I could be off on Jennings (time will tell), but I see him as more of a youtube/playground type player (hmmm? youtube player- sounds familiar). I see him as a bit of a cross between Kenny Anderson and Rafer "skip to my lou" Alston. He also plays the same position as one of the Bucks top young players (Ramon Sessions-if resigned). he looks out of control and years away from being a starter in the NBA. By the time his rookie contract is up he could still be a "prospect". I also am not very high on the selection in round two. Meeks is not very athletic and stands at just 6'3" in socks. His 46% FG shooting and 40% from 3 PT is just OK, not great. Looks like his upside is around Tony Delk/Keith Bogans. I think what the Bucks were trying to do was add some offense knowing they were going to let CV walk and sending RJ to San Antonio.

Looks like more of the same for Bucks fans- there's always next year..........the struggle continues.
