In relation to the mid level thing, I am asking you to give me examples mid to top level deals that turned out great for the signing team.

I said ones that did not involve superstars because obviously if a guy like Micheal Finley, who was a Big Dog level all star in Dallas signs for the mid level with the Spurs that is a coup for them, just as it will be a coup when Artest takes a pay cut for the Cavs or Lakers.

More often than not, free agent signings blow up in the team's face...I would say everyone of ours has in the past few years...Mo, Redd, Gadz, Bell, Simmons all were awful deals for our team that everybody was excited about.

I doubt anybody was ready to give up a pick for CV either, most people know that he is the suck.

No superstar would sign for the MLE, Ron artest comes to mind as a great guy for the MLE and could get more or will sign for the MLE.

I don't think i'd count Finely as a superstar at any point in his career

Dude..for the second time you are flat out ignoring that I wrote MID TO TOP LEVEL signings. Finley was as much as a superstar as Micheal Redd was. Give me a list of free agent signings over the last few years that have worked out really well..my guess is that there is about a 20% success rate. I guess Rashard Lewis is working out pretty good for Orlando.

do you know what the MLE is? your bringing up redd and lewis, so I doubt you actually know what it is

What do we want to get back?!?!?! The whole point of tearing down your team is to get rid of players and not have to take other people's garbage back. Why play games, waste two weeks of everybody's time and then have CV go away anyway? Or even worse, drive his price down and have to match a 5 - 6 year deal at the midlevel.

A future pick or a legit project player. I'm not saying we could of gotten that, but we'll never know since JH refused to offer the MLE

There are not many...... way more FAILS than good signings. The way the NBA works is you have to have a superstar to win a title, and you have to have at least 2 - 3 legit allstars to go far in the playoffs/win 50 games. CV IS NOT EVEN A BORDERLINE ALLSTAR!!!! He never will be...all he will be is a good scorer somewhere, a player who will never have the drive to be great, especailly now that he has duped the Pistons into giving him 40 million.

Agree, thats why I said we shouldn't sign him, just give him his QO

The NBA never learns...as we speak, there are teams lining up, tripping over themselves to give Trevor Ariza and Hedo Turkulou 50 million dollar deals. Can't anybody use their head? How good would Ariza look on the Bucks, without Bryant, Gasol, Bynum, etc? How good would Turk look without Dwight and Rashard Lewis commanding attention? Oh...wait, I think we saw that movie play out two years ago in Sacramento when they got rid of him for nothing!!!! Now he is worth 50 mil!!! Unbelieveable!!! If CV was a difference maker, I would advocate making a play, but in reality, he is average.

Ariza could turn out to be something, whoever pay thats will have to pay to find out. Yes I am laughing at whatever dumb ass team decides to give hedo big money, best move of the off season is by the magic getting vince instead of hedo

As far as Billups is concerned, I don't get your point. He just moved him for an expiring because he thought he would not be able to fulfill his contract? WTF? Who cares what the hell he was thinking....the move was a collassal FAIL, one of the worst moves in the NBA since Dumars took Darko over Wade, Bosh, and Melo. Billups was awesome in Detroit and as we can all see, he is awesome in Denver!!!

Dumors thought that Billups play would go down, since I think he's over 30 and signed to four more years if him not mistaken he wanted to get rid of him while is value is high. They also have a guy named stuckey who could be a very good PG and dumors thought he would be a better long term investment.

How is it even rational to question the mental toughness (the reason older players can thrive in a physical league like the NBA) of a champion like Billups and then turn around and sign Ben "Drama Queen" Gordon and Charlie "Take it Easy" Villanueva to long term deals? If there is a list out there of 20 guys in the whole league who are prone to flake out and fold like a cheap card table once they get their money, I would put those two at the top!!!

I can't argue that point I don't agree with the signings and I never said I did.

He was not happy this year coming off the bench and I doubt they just put all that money in BG to come off the bench.
