With Vander Blue's decision still up in the air and Cameron Wright choosing a scholarship offer from Pittsburgh in favor of Wisconsin, Badger head coach Bo Ryan has had to make adjustments in his 2010 recruiting outlook.

Late last week, Josh Gasser, along with his parents, Pat and Joan, traveled to Madison where Ryan extended a four-for-five scholarship offer, meaning the 6-foot-4, 195-pound point guard would walk-on during his freshman season and then be placed on scholarship for his remaining four years.

Badgers, other Big Ten schools show interest in Spencer Turner, a 6'3 shooting guard from Bloomington South (IN). Turner is a lights out shooter from beyond the arc and is playing summer ball for the Indiana Elite.

It looks like Bo may offer a preferred walk-on invitation. I'm not so sure we're getting out bang for our buck with this one

It's possible Bo Ryan may add one more name to his 2009 recruiting class.

Jeremy Glover of Oakton (VA) Flint Hill School will likely join Mike Bruesewitz and Diamond Taylor on campus next fall as a walk-on, with the possibility of earning a scholarship in 2010.

Friday afternoon, BadgerBlitz.com caught up with Glover to discuss his recent official visit in Madison.

"Well, the situation is kind of complicated," explained the 6-foot-3, 175-pound guard. "Since there are no scholarships left for 2009, the ***aff would like me to walk-on next season. Then, they'd have a scholarship when one becomes available in 2010."

Glover, who is also being courted by Texas A&M Corpus Chri***i, spent the la*** few days in Madison touring the campus with assi***ant coach Howard Moore and freshman Ryan Evans.

"I'd give the trip five ***ars," Glover said. "Coach Moore showed us a great time. Right now we are leaning towards Wisconsin, but ***ill need to weight all our options. I had a great time. I'll be ready to make a decision mo*** likely within a week."

For Badger fans, the situation is eerily similar to Evans' one year ago. The Chandler (AZ) Hamilton product was not heavily recruited and was initially asked to walk-on. However, in the end, he was granted a scholarship after a late ro***er change.

As a senior at Flint Hill, Glover averaged 17.4 points per game, 6.3 rebounds, and two assi***s per game.

The Badgers had been out of the running for Jamil Wilson for some time, but the Racine senior made his big announcement today and made a (somewhat) surprising pick, choosing Oregon over Texas and Michigan State.

Looking back - Kwamain Mitchell

Neither Wisconsin or Marquette ever really recruited Kwamain Mitchell that hard, maybe they should have....

Was looking at St. Loius' box scores to see how he has been doing. The freshman from Whitefish Bay Dominican has started all 7 games for the Billikins and is averaging over 30 minutes per game. Other stats to note: he is averaging 7.1 points, 2.6 rebounds & 4 assists per game. He is also shooting over 40% from the field. He does have a pretty high number of turnovers, but you can usually expect that from a freshman PG that is logging that many minutes.

Was surfing Rivals a little.... some interesting things:

1. Purdue doesn't seem like they capitalized on their amazing 2007 class .... 2008, 2009, and 2010 are pretty blah.

2. Tubby is getting some nice kids up in MN, as expected.

3. Weber somehow figured out how to recruit.... 2009 and 2010 are looking very strong at Illinois.

If recruit ranking is any indication, it looks like Minny will move into the upper ranks of the conference and Iowa//Michigan have some work to do before they recover. Purdue looks strong the next couple of years (because of their 2007 class) along with UW, OSU, and MSU .... Indiana and Illinois should be tourney-esque teams...... with Minny joining them shortly.....PSU and NW will remain bottom-feeders, to the surprise of nobody.

Kind of hard to get excited about this group outside of bergeren. i'm sure bo will have them molded into solid 2nd and 3rd team all conf players by the end of their junior years. I can see redshirts on all but taylor and bergeren.

Diamond Taylor Commits to the Badgers

I have seen Diamond Taylor play a few times and Bo sure landed a hell of a player. Taylor is a 6'3 guard from Westchester St. Joe's, the same school that produced Isaiah Thomas. Taylor is a long, athletic guard that can penetrate and has very good range with his shot.

Being a 6'3 guard he is a good fit for the swing offense as he can post up and play multiple spots on the floor. He is a 2G but should be able to contribute at the point or even develop into a solid PG if that is the route Bo wants to take.

Congrats to Bo and the Badgers, this is a pretty huge pickup IMO!!

Welcome to the Sports Bubbler’s Badger Basketball Recruiting message board! Our goal is to provide the ultimate website for the Wisconsin Sports Fan. Feel free to look around, kick the tires and get a good feel for the site. If you see a discussion you want to jump in on, feel free to step up onto the soap box and add your two cents worth.

While we do want you to say what you want and have some fun, we do have a few guidelines….
