UWM is back on track of respectability...with the leadership of head coach Rob Jeter...
They have a promising recruiting class coming in and a great foundation. I for one am pulling for Avery Smith to get his career squared away and address some accountability and maturity issues he needs to resume a promising future.
I missed watching Avery Smith play last year and you always like to see local kids do well here. Lets hope he is reinstated to play.
I like how Jeter has handled and is handling his program and he was actually on my short list to possibly be in line here at Marquette when Tom Crean left. But he is fine right where he is. One day he too will be as sought after as Crean.
I've checked on some of their players coming in and I like what I see. They now have some size up front with three 6'8 players. Even MU can't or has not managed to draw that.
So I am very interested in what transpires on the East side next year...I will be in full support of that program for sure.
