I have to say, the Sox pitching match-ups turned out to be about as favorable as they could for the Crew.

    We go...

    Soup @ Dice K

    Bush @ Wakefield

    CV @ Beckett

I don't know. We still got their two best pitchers, yet again.

Einstein, how do you think Billingsley projects?

He's Yovanni Gallardo with a little bit more raw stuff. Assortment of pitches and knows how to use them.

He's a true number one if he can stay healthy. They have another guy along those lines in Clay Kershaw, who should be up any day now.

We did get two of the BoSox best pitchers, but I have confidence that Soup can match Dice K. I also have confidence that Bush can hang in with Wake. And CV did a great job of ace-slaying the other night, so maybe he's up to the task once more.

Man, the Dodgers are just loaded with talent. They could have a fantastic pitching staff...

Yeah, I don't know. Soup isn't going to get the Red So to bail him out the way some teams do, and he'll walk some guys trying to pitch around them. He could get destoryed if he's not very good.

The only matchup I like at all is Saturday, and that's just because Wakefield isn't all that good.

Add in the fact that they can afford to fill in the gaps, and watching them duke it ut with the baby D-backs for a few years should be a lot of fun.

Did Weeks swing at ball 4 there?

Do Weeks and Hall have a bet going to see who can K the most this year?

Another at bat by Weeks, and another strikeout!!!!  Say no more!!!!!

Too bad that Cameron, and Hall are not in the lineup today, and we would have 7, or 8 more K'S

Haha, Powell talking about Braun not being charged with an error in left.

They can charge an error on plays that you don't get to.

What's up with Weeks, btw, swinging at ball four twice?

Estrada doesn't make the play that Kendall just did.

    No way, no how.

Well Weeks just looks great after that day of rest.   Do we really have no other option besides him? I know batting average isn't everything but .188

and his OBP is at .309.

I just can't see how much longer they'll put up with him.

Very happy to see Braun signed long term, that rocks.

And I hate the espn gamecast things get missed and I get confused.

Powell is really on a roll this inning.

Chatting about the difficulties of quantifying defense, and how that affects the way fans perceive moves for players like Kendall. He suggests that troubles with defensive quantification affected fan perception of Kendall.

Good outfield positioning to have Gwynn playing Kent the other way.

As far as I'm concerned, Sheets couldn't be expected to have a better pitch count after 4 when you consider that he's struck out 4 over that time frame.
