    Einsteinhood:

    2/40 is a bit high.

I would be OK with 2/35 or so, but I know there is no way he takes that.

I know 2/$40 is high, but $20 a year will make Sheets think, even if the contract length is short.

Has anyone mentioned "it" yet? That special thing your not supposed to talk about? That thing that is why Billingsly is getting ready to take a seat by himself?

Anyone thinking what I am or is it too early?

Man, I think Dodger fans are probably mad about that throw by Maza the same way Brewhawk hates to see Rickie side-arm it.

    Thanks for the break, kid.

Now they need to convert. TGjr is a good bet to go extra bases, right? Right?

Sheets, Billingsley and Volquez are the reason I'm going to run away with the K total in our fantasy league.  You guys are lucky Smoltz is getting moved to the pen when he returns.

I'll trade you Dan Uggla for Edinson Volquez :-D

Oh, I'll throw in some cash, too, Mr. Beane.

I need a guy who can steal bases.
Baseball is a game of the long season, of relentless and gradual averaging-out. Irrelevance—since the reference point of most individual games is remote and statistical—always threatens its interest, which can be maintained not by the occasional heroics that sportswriters feed upon but by players who always care; who care, that is to say, about themselves and their art. Insofar as the clutch hitter is not a sportswriter's myth, he is a vulgarity, like a writer who writes only for money.

Powell has. He likes breaking up no-nos.

Ueck will after this inning as well.

I'm afraid of "it" happening again. I'd love to see it for Billingsly, but for it to happen again would be pretty frustrating. It might provide a wakeup call though.

At least Gwynn can run when he hits DP balls to the right side.

We've got that going for us, which is good.

Hey Tony, what did the five fingers say to the face?

Are teams shifting on Gwynn yet?

I sure didn't think Billingsley would throw a no hitter today.

    Especially not against Sheets.

Sheets is hotter than Hall right now.
