    I was actually just going to post asking about PG Xavier Thames. I saw on Rivals.com that MU is in the running. I'm not a subscriber though so I couldn't actually read the article to see what it said.

    Any big guys in the mix for '08? Or for '09?

    It basically says that Thames was down to Iowa State & Washington State and that Marquette is coming on strong. Makes it sound as if it was an Iowa State lean until MU got into the picture.

    see attached link.  Looks intriguing as he is improving and some bigger name schools are now in the picture...including an offer from Washington State.   But, I think he is 09.

    Rivals had him as a 3 star before AAU ball this spring,,,,,23rd point guard in the class of 2009 and something like 122 overall.   That number will probably rise if the article is indicative of his improvement this spring.   Johnny Lacey, from Milwaukee, in comparison is currently listed as a 4 star, the 18th ranked pg and #99 overall.   I'm not sure if that is a huge difference at this point (going into their senior season) but they at least appear to be in the same airspace.
