Well put Westcoast.  Nothing like a little racism mixed with baseless predictions to get your point across.

Seriously, why do you waste your time baiting the fans here?  Is somebody a bitter Yi fan?

I did have several chances to see Alexander play during his college days being a big Marquette and Big East fan.  He is you prototypical underachiever and workout wonder....if he was a football player Sherman would have traded up to take him in the top ten.  He got hot at the right time (Big East tournament and NCAAs) and spun that into a lottery pick.  He'll be solid guy off the bench on a good team, he'll have inflated numbers with the bucks because they are pitiful.

Yi looked lost most of last year, so he didn't set that high a standard.  The thing that stood out about him was he's not physical for a guy his size and just got pushed around.  I hope he's learned that NBA ball is alot different from international and you need to be more atheltic and physical to deal in that league.  I won't rag on him, because it was his first year and we'll see how he does with the Nets.

westcoastfag1, did you watch the Olympics?! He got better? If anything he regressed! Not sure who will be the better pro long term, but to say Yi got better during the olympics is one of the more stupid comments posted on here.

Yi is so over-rated it isn't funny; just a tall, thin dude who likes to shoot and play outside the paint.  He looked pathetic in the U.S. game I saw; way out of his league.  Yao on the other hand played pretty well, is a legitimate star, and has proven he can play NBA ball.  Yi hasn't done anything and truth be told, should not have been the starter ahead of CV last season.  Enough on him.  Joe Alexander is still unknown and won't get the playing opportunities Yi was given last year.  In the long run, if Joe works hard, he could be a decent NBA player.

It's a moot point. The Bucks traded Yi for Richard Jefferson. I would take Richard Jefferson and Joe Alexander over Yi and Bobby Simmons any day of the week.

That's the trade the Bucks made, and it was the right one.

    Absolutely.

    1) RJ is better than Yi  and has more NBA experience then Yi.

    2) We don't know yet about Joe since he hasn't played. But a good impressive rookie vs an injured veteran who has no game except for the occasional 3 pointer and who's about as soft as a pillow. I'll take my chances with Joe.

In addition, if he doesn't work out, we're paying him nothing (in NBA terms). We were paying Simmons All-Star money.

i agree Yi was  bust. Bieng in australia i dont see a lot of bucks games, dam tv, but what i saw of him was WTF....? even in the olympics where he should be more settled, he did nothin. im glad he is gone. it was all publicity which probably the bucks need on a bigger scale. that idea to draft Yi was more trouble than what its worth, and their still playing games in china, go figure!
