tpmusmc:Weeks has played in 4 full years counting this year. If you count 2003, then make it 5 years. 1528 at bats should give you all that you need to know.
First off, if you're counting 14 PA in 2003 as a "year," that's simply mistaken.
Secondly, I fail to see how Weeks has 4 full years when this is only his second season in which he has even played in 100 games.
Third, Weeks has 1801 PA. To give you an idea, your average MLB player is probably going to accumulate 550-650 PA during the course of a full season.
At the very best, Weeks has had the equivalent of 3 full years, but really, he's had four rather fragmented season.
Fourth, MLB service time is measured more specifically than the simple years, PA, and AB you see in the stats. Depending upon when players are called up, the clock is run differently to adequately reflect the amount of service time a player has.
Search Cot's Baseball Contracts on google or Yahoo! and they post service time yearly there. It will give you a much more specific count than the normal stats page.
